No more tax increases! Pay for this yourself, rich dude.

I agree that's actually a good point not just because you said it but it is a good point he's got I think he's a billionaire so he's like another Mark Cuban and so there's no reason he can't pay for this himself to do away with the tax the extra tax so I'm 100% on board with that idea it just doesn't really make sense I don't know that their checkbooks or textbooks whatever but still I mean that's just kind of dumb to raise the taxes in Salt Lake I don't live in Salt Lake I live in Layton but the point is valid

Don't use our hard earned tax dollars to pay for your vanity projects. Don't make Utah more unaffordable for the rest of us.

I'm with you! He says its about the citys legacy, BS! It is all about their legacy. My property taxes have been raised, public utilities raised, food is expensive, insurance rates raised, etc. I'm a retired man who is running out of money. Smith is a billionaire, let him pay for ego driven plans.

I don’t like that it raises our taxes having all this new sports!

They sound like great people, but it also sounds like they could easily afford to bankroll their own projects without our taxpayer monies.

What really irks me is they act like they are doing us a favor and going to save us from ourselves. And on our dime to boot!

Come on, KSL. Try to at least do some sort of basic journalism and not run a PR piece for Smith. The guy has a vision but at the public’s expense and asked for a lot from the state, county, and city with little to show for it.

Exactly. Other than reducing crime and homelessness. Why does Salt Lake need to be reshaped? Who can afford to attend these events? Already there is a plan to raise Jazz tickets 17 dollars to pay for affordable housing. Again, Ryan doesn't want to use HIS money for that project. He wants Jazz fans to pay for it. I see a pattern. Get someone else to pay for your ideas.

@@susandean5622 They never use their own money. That's how rich people stay rich. They have no right to inflict the cost on others.

Who owns KSL! The biggest tax dodger in Utah is the mormon church.

So you mean to tell me that as a salt laker I should be excited about these rich people who want to change our city with our taxes for themselves? They’re plan is to turn salt lake into NY or LA where we have an unsolved housing crisis while they make money on their investments.

This is great, but i really hope soon comes the day when we see people reshaping cities in a positive way in a truly altruistic manner, without relying on public dollars and leaving behind real legacies for generations. Environment, art, and true education that brings out the absolute best for all children,

One would need to rid the city of cars downtown to revitalize it.🤔

It's already a bad plan because of tearing down perfectly good structures like Abravanel Hall.
