It's great to see the new guides doing the same things we did in the past. I was not a guide, but my friends all were. "The Cluster" was always a great event, the jerkers and the fly fisherman all campers at the hatchery. I remember "coming to" laying on the ground cozy in my bag as a stringer of 16" browns their tails dragging in the dirt right past my head as I broke through my personal fog. A guide friend had brought a full bodied beaver (really) and roasted it on a spit. That beaver tasted just like prime rib from the pioneer. Ritchie Thurston, Brett Drummond, Brenden Fitzgerald, Kevin Holtry, John Arnold. Great guides, great people. Picabo Street, her brother Baba, Rob Webb, the "lung brothers" Danny and Whitney, and so many others, including Kirk Bachman, Rusty, and all those in Stanley. I thank you all for the wonderful times and the great times and friendships. I love you all. With any luck, those before mentioned that are still with us, perhaps one day I will see you again on the river. I look forward to meeting all the new guides and sharing stories of the old days, but only if you are interested in hearing them. Lol! I am stuck in Louisiana with a different kind of outdoor fun, but I hope to visit soon. See you then. Todd Olson, former owner of Screamin' Toad Cycles, I n Boise. I love you all?
