It has less wattage, less torque, and lower potential speed than a BaFang BBSHD. It also has an overpriced proprietary frame and a small battery. Expected pricing is between €7,000 and €12,000 ($7,500 and $12,850).

Good on them for getting into this space. Huge miss in my opinion to not integrate shifting into the gearbox. All the bikes shown in the video still have rear derailleurs. As far as I know Pinion is the only company making ebike motors with shifting integrated in the gear box.

As a bicycle and motorcycle mechanic/rider I must ask what about lubrication between the gears as grease just won’t cut it - gets squeezed out from between the teeth. So far the only people to be doing it right it this sense seems to be Pinion with their MGU.
