However in Dungeon Defenders, a malicious aura radiates from the seals placed in Etherium. She's foriegn to this world and its ebb and flow. She cannot adapt to attune to the natural order... The corruption takes hold. It thirsts for the souls of the innocent. Through divine intervention and meditation, she twists the corruption to sustain itself upon evil souls. The corruption making her purity aggressive, and her purity making the corruption spare others. Both sides hate each other with the passion of a thousand fiery Solar Pillars, but neither want to die... So, they compromise as a split-personality duo.

The Harpies were most likely pissed off that you stole their sky treasure or invading their territory. Think of them like flying gorrillas of sorts, which Gorrilas are extremely territorial and can brutalize a person if they disrespect their territory
