This video was a masterpiece, glad you did this session with Dom. Here are my top learnings from the session- - You don't need politics to change the world, a good design can do that too! - Blending knowledge of engineering and design together can get some very powerful. - You need to convenience your design to people, that's where you show them the numbers and it's big impact. - The society is cheating? they are copying what they like, that is where you should learn to give credit. - Feedback is important, and negative feedback is even more important because it helps you grow.

Just want to put this out here. When I started my mechanical engineering curriculum in 2020, I was not attracted to the traditional pathway, I started through design and that was the time I picked up "The Design of everyday things" and it changed how I looked and interacted with things. And now I am seeing this podcast, I just want to thank Ansh on behalf of everyone for making this happen, and giving us this insightful conversation. Hope to make a change in the world through my work one day! Grateful!

Thanks for this video!!🙌 🌟 Just immersed myself in an enlightening discussion by Ansh Mehra and Don Norman on UX design. Norman's emphasis on human-centricity and the significance of negative feedback for growth resonated deeply. The perspective on AI as a collaborative tool, not a replacement, is a game-changer. Excited to apply these insights to my design journey! 💡🎨

This video was very valuable and it helped me see and learn design from a very different and interesting perspective. So, here are some of my top learnings: 1. Design is all about applying 2. When approaching businesses regarding the environmental impacts, do not approach them with problems, instead approach them with solutions, backed by data and spreadsheets 3. Do not feel shy about asking for help. You can get a lot of great things done if you get help from other smart people. 4. Finding good critics who help you make things better is valuable. 5. Always be open to criticism. Getting feedback, especially negative feedback is a good thing 6. Always change your mind 7. Testing is crucial in design 8. Do not learn by subject, instead learn by projects 9. Have many different disciplines

Loved the video, it was very insightful. I learnt that we should care for the environment while making a product. We should learn about diverse things and incorporate and relate things to our work(design). We should focus more on doing things that we love to do. We should learn to relate our design with business and analyze problems to convince clients. We should always try to include data when pitching ideas to someone.

This podcast is a wonderful and not at all monotonous. How he shared his story and experience he learned in the journey was amazing, I have learned not only about design but also other valuable life lessons such as : 1. Design should focus on human centered design. 2. Getting feedback is important to grow yourself. 3. Pitch ideas with presentation showing data, numbers and profits. 4. How criticism help you to improve your skills. 5. Always learn new things apart from your comfort zone or interest. 6. AI is powerful tool and it will be more effective use for designers. 7. Theoretical knowledge isn't enough, doing project is applying your skills to grow as a pro. 8. Always collaborate and work with others to learn and establish relationship with them. 9. Don't cheat instead give credits. 10. Business must think about consumer needs, pain points and their convenience. Thank you sir Don Norman and sir Ansh mehra for this podcast

What a mind-blowing chat beyond just design. My major takeaway is the significance of transitioning from mere human-centred design to a more holistic approach- humanity-centred design. This perspective urges us to focus not only on individual needs but on creating solutions that positively impact society and the environment.

Designers with business knowledge make impactful products. 3. See negative feedback as a chance to learn and improve. 4. Do not emphasize on problem rather show them the solution. 5. Learning by projects is to apply gained knowledge in the respective domain.

This 50 min just finished very quickly , i didn't even realised . It was so engaging conversation . After this conversation i wanted to know more about don Norman and his work , as a psychology student and the one who is beginner in UX design . i have gained so many new insights . And my key learnings are : 1] Learn by Projects and Ask why are u learning some thing , what is the Problem that you are addressing .[Basically i got a new approach on how to learn things]. 2]Being curious and open to learn about every field , and how to apply design with other fields. 3]And , this insight i learned from pdf notes format , that whenever You learn something new , Take some small "CTA'S" [STEPS] ., And always seek feedback and be open to learn from it. THANKS 🙌 ansh for this insightful podcast , and for providing notes with specific Cta's. It really helps a lot.

My best learning was knowing that design as a field has no limitations. I never thought of designers as politicians but I can understand how important it is. I was also very unsure as I was not able to connect my fields as now I am pursuing my master's in design but now I know how I can do that. will take some time but I realise this was only an awesome feeling.

My top 3 Learnings that i am going to incorporate in my life for sure are :- 1. Learning Business- Don made me realize how ignorant i was about about knowledge about how real world things actually work. 2. Learn from others- Its a lot of things others can teach me, just ask them and he just told us how its done. 3. Blending my past knowledge- Use all you got for eg- I just came out of an entrance exam(CEED 24) for which i learnt how to draw and this new skill that i just learn can be used in multiple ways in my designs.

I am a rookie in UX/UI Design and it's a kind of ritual now that I feel insecure about my progress daily, how am I going to improve my design skills and my knowledge. There are so many people better than me, am I doing enough? Such videos really help me get back on my learning track, yes, I am new here, but it won't be forever. Thank you for your content, Bro. And it would be really helpful if you could talk about insecurities with the designers, for beginners like me because when you start something there is a lot that goes on simultaneously.

The design concept is all about applying ideas effectively. Understand the importance of feedback, even the negative kind, for personal growth. Big thanks to Ansh Mehra for bringing this insightful conversation to us! Below I'm sharing my top learnings from this amazing video ... - We need "Humanity Centric Design," H+CD, in the modern world. - Always include metrics in your idea pitches that clearly demonstrate growth and profitability. - He emphasizes the need of using concrete financial indicators to inform design decisions and promotes awareness of ideas like margin, current worth of money, and computing sales figures.📈 - In order to create an atmosphere that is supportive of learning and creativity, he also emphasizes the importance of cooperation and giving credit where credit is due. - studying skills within the framework of a project helps you to understand why you are studying them in the first place. -Norman emphasizes the need of design solutions that strike a balance between sustainability and profitability and urges designers to learn the lingo and viewpoints of non-designer executives. - Designers will be able to solve complex problems with AI, just as programmers were helped by compilers. Thank You so much Ansh for sharing such fabulous content for the begineers like me. Means a lot me us, for such valuable content. ❤
