What does the engine room look like? We just bought a 1987 DeFever 44 and it has a similar layout to your Viking.

@@lifeinthewick Getting in there to change the fluids, heat exchangers, etc will be fun haha. The joys of boat ownership! Do you plan to come up to the great lakes and spend some time or just pass through?

I wish you well sailing, but I can't help but think that having the controls up that high would make for one very uncomfortable ride if the weather turns squirrely.
