One of the funniest parts is asking for Kendrick to show proof. Then over the next few months Kendrick posted nothing..and the internet posted it all 😂 all of a sudden everyone saw the video of Drake kissing the 17 year old, the Millie Bobbie Brown interview, and the what’s the dirt video of him showing proof of Drake partying with high school girls 😂 you can’t make this up. Sometimes you really do have to admit that someone is THAT GOOD. Kendrick really is THAT GOOD

That's part of why kendrick won too, he didn't feel the need to hop on social media and do a "the truth about drake" video essay or some shit, he let the music speak for itself and knew the audience could look into things on their own if they were so inclined. He didn't have to pull up with some hard evidence when there's already so much shit out there in the public regarding drake's behaviour that at the very least raises some eyebrows and at worst shows a pattern of predatory tendencies.

So here's the thing. I think Kendrick only had rumors at the start when the beef kicked off, and by the time he started meet the Grahams he had some smoking gun info fed to him. But if watching Kat Williams and Hannibal Buress taught me anything, a lot of celebrities seem to have these dark secrets that other celebs are just expected to keep if they're in the industry. When Hannibal so matter of factly mentioned that Bill Cosby was doing those crimes as just apart of a normal standup routine, and said "oh this is all common knowledge". I genuinely think it's true, that he assumed it was just a fact everyone knew. It's just a shame that it seems like to work in those industries you gotta help hide everyone else's dirt. Also, if you ever get a chance to listen to Kendricks unreleased song Prayer, that got leaked a while back, you should do a break down of it

Two last points: Your editor is an A1 cohost, and big respect for your ability to see thru the copium and change. That’s a very rare quality these days. You brought up a great point about how if kendrick only revealed all that for clout and beef then that’s kinda gross. But I truly believe he was giving drake a chance to make better decisions and show growth. Since drake didn’t and even doubled down on his misogynistic tendencies and ego driven ways, kendrick went full force.

as a years long Drake despiser, it brings me a lot of joy seeing fans come around to see what i’ve seen for a while. as for folks saying Drake has a case for libel (and this may admittedly be a reach and feel free to cook me in the replies if so), i feel like everything that Kendrick directly said in his second verse of Meet The Grahams has been public information. he never DIRECTLY calls Drake a PDF, but points out that folks in his entourage have cases in that vicinity (Baka), has engaged in predatory methods of seducing women (literally a google search away), and implies for you to connect the dots (lol Dot). while pretty obvious what he’s saying, libel cases in the US have a pretty high standard that this song just seems to skirt beneath. long winded, but all this to say i appreciate you putting out what you genuinely felt in the moment. being disillusioned is hard for all of us when it comes to people we either look up to or appreciate (Kanye stan in recovery here). i appreciate you and your content so much and can’t wait to keep tuning in. love ya mean it xoxo gossip girl

Exactly, the overall culture of society barely protects folks who are actually SA’d so imagine this dude who wasn’t even assaulted at all trying to report on this stuff… people are gonna miss the point like they did when this happened in real time. Kendrick told us this man is apart of trafficking young women and is sick in the head, all people focused on was the daughter??? But Kendrick was supposed to just speak up as if y’all listen, come on now 😂😂 it’s our own fault as a society, if you don’t support people who tell the truth don’t be surprised when they start telling you lies instead. We see that in the music industry now, we give all this attention and support to folks who lie about their life then get mad when we find out they were lying but don’t support the artist making real music about real shit… what is to be surprised about???

Regarding the Sx Trafficking and stuff wouldn’t an easy explanation be that he knows enough people who are certain of this? Like there are a LOT of crimes that people commit but in a legal sense you can’t prove, that’s why a lot of people go to the public instead. And Drake hasn’t sued bc that would involve an investigation which he would not exit unscathed. That’s my theory at least

The cope was insane, and Drake was absolutely a scumbag for bringing up Whitney because Family Matters was more of a diss on her than on Kendrick even! What was Drake's deal saying Kendrick beat her and also calling her a cheater and a slut and a bitch? Kendrick addressing the family in MTG and talking to Adonis first was the _nice_ ending. Imagine if he were pettier and doubled down on the Pusha T strat of bringing up Sophie's past as a porn star/stripper and Drake trying to clean up her image.

That's actually a very valid point, but I guess it depends on WHEN Kendrick learned all this stuff about Drake. If he knew it before the beef, then it really is kinda iffy that Kendrick never said a word about it before (I'm talking about covering a sexual offenders ring - the stuff like Drake being gross towards teens was known before and shouldn't come as a surprise when Kendrick said it). However, there is a possibility that he learned the deep stuff only once Drake actually went into the beef and Kendrick's people started digging for dirt on OVO. Food for thought I guess, but either way Kendrick still won the battle, and legal authorities should look into people around Drake.

Because drake isn't american. The reason why immigrants Think they have the same rights as citizens, it's because of people like yourself. You just give anyone American rights lol

Love your stuff man. In a world full of people doubling down on bad takes, honestly its so refreshing to hear someone actually putting their hands up and reflecting on past opinions being wrong or bias... Though I will point out a quote from your push ups video when Drake mentions Whitney which does undercut this take even more... "Which is, you know, objectivly not kind but you know, This is rap beef, I don't think there are many lines that need to be drawn"

I am SAT and paying attention. Edit after watching: I agree that past Derapy had some decent points about stans believing that their icons plan and pre-plan everything to a t… but the same thing could be said about Mr. Past Derapy himself who was gunning for Drake like no tomorrow lol. Some of the comments about Drake’s accusations towards Kendrick being not that bad were… lowkey infuriating tbh. Regardless of all the pressure to post this video, thank you for choosing to share it and being willing to discuss how you’ve grown over the past few months after the beef.

The thing you didn't realize at that time was that Kendrick didn't say anything new (except for the daughter) about Drake. Everything was out there, we've seen videos of him acting weird with a 17 y/o and spending time with child celebrities. Baka had a weird case and we knew. MTG was a gruesome experience not because it "exposed" all of this, but because it was directed to Drake's family

Oh this is some HIGH dosage cope, I see. Genuinely though, I have mad respect for you posting this episode. It’s really easy in the aftermath of these sorts of events to be like “yeah, I was always sort of sus of this guy” and just pick a side once the battle is over. It takes integrity imo to be able to see a thing and have what could be considered a “bad take” reaction, think on it, and then change your mind. Great ep.
