I happened to stumble across this curriculum and am anxiously awaiting for the full 6th grade year to be released. I am so happy older grades are getting more recognition.

@mouseearsandcoffeebeans we are working full steam ahead on the 6th grade year. For my older son, I felt like I had loads of options for high school/dual credit, but the middle school options were so sparse!

@@learningwithlindsey Most definitely. There's a lot for pre-k thru 2nd and high school, but I feel like the middle grades don't get as much recognition.

Great interview! I stumbled upon this curriculum a couple days ago and purchased the full 5th grade curriculum for the next school year the same day. Scrapped almost everything else I already had planned 😂 this suits us so much better! I love how manageable it is and my kiddo will be able to do most of this independently... it is exactly what we've been searching for. Just commenting to show ny interest in both higher levels (maybe up to 8th 🤞🤞) and lower levels 3rd and up (although ive got a few years to go on that one for my younger child). I plan to buy grade 6 when its available for 2025/2026 school year. Looking forward to it 😊

Love that book! It was one I hadn't read before, but once I had a chance to take a look, I knew it was definitely going into the fifth grade level. It fits the theme perfectly!

I'm so excited to start this next year. We also have used that religious program and I'm happy there is a secular option that has a similar structure. I would LOVE if it went younger, but I'm glad my oldest is at the right age to be able to use the curriculum as it comes out.

I just discovered this curriculum and bought a few units the same day. I got the grammar, brain games and Over the Moon lit study. We started this week and so far we are really enjoying it!!!! It is fun, straight to the point and doesn't feel like it is overly burdensome. It is quick, but feels like it does a great job highlighting important ideas. I LOVE that it reminds me of that "other non secular 'beautiful' curriculum" but with Hearth and Story I am not having to juggle how to make it secular for us without missing important components. I am looking forward to seeing what is next

@@learningwithlindsey I was thinking more about your future plans, and here is another mama begging (yep🤣 no shame!) for higher levels after 6th. I know the MARKET is definitely stronger for the elementary years, but finding good, SECULAR material for middle school has been so hard. We have definitely floundered these past couple years with my older 2 as we try to find materials for MS. I would love to see a solid secular MS LA curriculum out on the market♡♡ just my plug that, yes there is a market and we are DESPERATE 😊

@@SmithsInTheMaking I hear that! My youngest is in fifth grade, but my oldest is starting grad school in the fall. There was basically nothing available for him when he was younger! For high school, he ended up enrolling in a lot of courses through the local community college and Arizona State's wonderful online option... but for middle school, there was not much available!

Super cool, definitely fills a whole in the market! I shared this video in my son's school's parent FB group. Our school is public but home based, so any material purchased by the school must be secular.

We have purchased in the sale all the way here from the UK. My girls are technically grade 6 but we are using as I noticed the girls needed some extra instruction with writing and we have not been able to find any good novel studies or poetry studies in our UK books that they engage with. I have to say........ wow, my girls have been so keen and happy and we are only 2 weeks in, we have gone from constantly moaning about anything language arts related to now getting excited when we bring out the Hearth and Story pdfs. My 2nd grader wishes she could join them and do this curriculum so she is already looking forward to doing this in her 4th or 5th grade year. Looking forward to Lindsay finishing and publishing grade 6 and hope she goes on to do lower levels that my youngest can join in with. @makingEverydayMagic another great video, thankyou

Thank you for the interview! I purchased H&S earlier in the month as it just so happens that I will have a fifth grader next year. 👍 I have looked through it all, and I love what I see. The two things that I am the most excited about are Brain Food and the fact that the novels all tie together around a single theme, and I think a great theme for this age child. And I love that Lindsey isn’t just trying to beat kids over the head with one sad book after another, thank you!
