Reminds me of Kali, a 3 year old male polar bear who lives at the St. Louis zoo.

Thank you for saving this bear and sharing this GREAT video.. She did look thin. IT sure didn't take long for her to figure out how to have fun with that pool either... . Enjoyed this clip.

There is clean water in that little pool. They need to keep her in quarantine for a few months before she can be let into the main enclosure and it's highly likely that the water in the pool is changed daily.

Animals, should be free in the wild and not in a ... large room of a zoo Gli animali, dovrebbero essere liberi, in natura e non in uno ... stanzone di uno zoo

+nBlis 93 I understand how you feel. However, did you know that the zoos try their very best to recreate the habitats for the animals. The animals in zoos also live longer if they are in captivity. Also, some animals wouldn't survive in the wild if they were orphaned at a young age. Look up the story of a polar bear named Kali.

Unfortunately the polar bears here would not survive in the wild. The conditions for them are quite nice as this is just a temporary area

I think it is wonderful that you saved this little munchkin, but having said that, I would prefer to see her out in the wild where she belongs. I detest zoos and places of captivity for all animals. With the availability of the internet now, all children can see any type of creature they want at any time. It is cruel to house any living creature under any other circumstances than recuperation due to illness. They need to be in the environment where they were meant to be, not caged and swimming in small pools. This includes Orcas and all other living creatures that we keep for our own needs

She is only in captivity because she would have died in the wild. She was watched for a few days and didn't have a mother. There is no record of a cub as young as her to survive in the wild alone. they need to be with their moms for 2 years.

+Sharon Phillip She'll also live longer in captivity as well because the keepers and vets can easily help her. Kali, a male polar bear at the St. Louis zoo can never be released back into the wild because he was accidentally orphaned at 3 months when a subsistence hunter inadvertently shot his mother because he mistook her for a male.
