Why do they always pick my favourite actors from EastEnders? Last year it was Maisie Smith and now it's Rose Ayling-Ellis and every time this happens my heart sinks and I think to myself, "oh no, now I'm actually going to have to WATCH strictly come dancing again!"

I think is is a good move but it should not be exploited by the media or anyone else because she is a normal person who just happens to be deaf. People with disabilities want to be treated like everyone else and not treated as a hero or have their disability define who they. I wish her well and the most important thing is that she enjoys it for her own reasons not what other people think, expect or want her to be. I famous Australian Paralympian has said it is easy for people with a disability to be seen as a hero but it a lot harder to realise that disabled people are made vulnerable by people who think that they are.
