Thanks Paratibha Sarathy. I'm a 77 year old lady. I learned Carnatic music when I was 10 years, upto 14. Then I continued again when I was 40 for about 7 years. I'm a lover of music, and now I'm listening to your teaching channel and trying to brush up my little knowledge. God bless you, and appreciate your service to the Carnatic music world. 🙌🏻🙌🏻

In tamil music raga Bhairavi is known as " kowsikam" pann. Pann is the tamil word for raga. Lot of thevaram songs were in kowsika pann. My favourite one is " seyyane thiru aalavayy meviya ayyane" by thirugnana sambanthar.

@muralidhartrainingАй бұрын
Madam if m and n are sung with other swaras, how does one write the notation of a bhairavi song ? Just wondering.

It is written as Ma and Ni respectively. But while singing it we should know how to apply the gamakam.

Why are you adding “a” to every Hindi word? Like “Raag” A “Gamak” A? Its raag and Gamak. Why this westernisation?
@musicworship4520Ай бұрын
Great exercise towards the end…really highlights the nuances of the gamakas between the Swaras. However, I wish you had spent a little more time on the last three lines to highlight the difference in the M in the aarohana and avarohana. It’s not so easy and would’ve been helpful to break it down like you did with d and D in the top half.
