meet the WU TANK : a light 5" and 6" for freestyle & cruise

Here's a proper introduction to the #WuTank frame compared to the older Mod-L design.
The goal of the Wu Tank is to make a good enough frame suitable mainly for freestyle (think durable and flyable with the bigger motor setups from the light category).
Wu Tank frame specs :
- 5" WideX or DeadCat : 65g built up
- 6" WideX or DeadCat : 70g built up
- 20x20, 25.5x25.5 and 30.5x30.5 FC mount
- rear Vista support (20x20)
- Slammed split deck (16mm at the rear, 22mm front for camera)
- 12x12 motor mount (normal one and Aerolite lined up one).
it have also been thought to provide a better building experience especially for #DJIFPV Vista builds. It's lower profile while providing a nice camera real estate with the split deck design.
Regarding vibration management i kept this aspect in mid while designing and obviously better on this frame than on the MOD-L 5" but I don't have the abilities nor time to put it to a complete simulation. I'll do something in that regard, for now the frame have a healthy behaviour if done to specs and recommendations.

I'd say some tiny 2203.5 or 23mm that have a 12x12mm mount. Take a look at GeKo's setup here for inspiration, he actually flies that 6in deadcat setup : kzbin.info/www/bejne/gIPbhoqgiN6rrrs

@@Ledroneclub also, wanna make my 5cents... It's winter and it's mandatory to have at least a rubber band cover for your electronics so the snow won't fill all the gaps instantly. Also in cold weather props become crusty and if I would not cover my stacks with a wide band (like racers do) or with peace of plastic on a zip ties to topplate holes, all peaces of props and grass and branches will hit the stack. It would be great to get that in mind. Many frames on the market make alu camera plates with nothing to attach to the band. Like diatone Roma l4 l5.

@@KonstantinFPV the redesign have the same layout as the one presented here. With front standoffs. Is that fine? No cam plates and 8 standoffs all around in total

@@Ledroneclub totally ok the elastic strap can be warped around second standoffs behind camera and lead all the way to rear standoffs. So rear standoffs should be bit wider than avatar HD so band and anything else won't interakt with it or with plugs that are connected at the sides. The only last thing to think about is the 30x30 stack option, cos nowdays there are good price/value f405 30x30 stacks inav/betaflight/ardupilot capable.

Hello, pour le deadcat je pense pas que ça change quelque chose sur la conso, le seul intérêt que je vois c’est ne pas avoir les hélices dans les champs de la caméra fpv. Mais pour les performances de vol le layout normal sera plus performant je pense
