Mike took a trip down to the south coast of England to catch up with Jimmy Broadbent, a sim racing KZbinr who has built an incredibly successful channel - from a shed at the bottom of his mum's garden. But it turns out Jimmy very much has his priorities straight, seeing as he owns a mint Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R. That's about as good as man maths can possibly get.

Jimmy is such an amazing KZbinr and Sim Racer. He's one that I look up to for inspiration in my Sim Racing and when creating content for my own KZbin channel. What's even more amazing is how personal he is with his viewers. He has so many viewers yet when I messaged him on Facebook with questions about a setup on an LMP1 car he replied with actual advice and carried on a conversation with me about the setup. I was amazed with how busy he is and with as many messages that he gets that he took time out his day to talk with me, and not with a generic response, but a personalized response. Awesome guy!

It takes a lot of courage to be so open about ones struggles with mental health and depression, especially to such a large audience. i have a lot of respect for Jimmy for sharing so honestly, because among other reasons it shows people that they dont have to be ashamed of their struggles and they dont have to hide that side away from people. it has to be said that even in 2020 it is especially hard for men to be vulnerable about this kind of stuff so cheers to jimmy for doing his part to spread that courage and awareness and for proving that there is indeed hope for those out there who are struggling.

L S stay strong bro, i know how you feel. I am the son of a woman beating crack addict, i had to witness my father beating even stabbing my mum as child. Came to England at 7 years old and dropped into a council estate in north west london. Had to learn to fight with someone fresh out of jail beating me into the ground. Had a cunt step dad who hated me. At 11 years old i attempted to kill my self but the belt broke. Ive had my jaw broken and i almost died just because people hated that i worked. I found my peace when i gave my life to God. I know live in essex with a beautiful wife and son and i have found the peace i always wanted. I discovered Jimmy about two years ago, accidentally coming across one of his streams and almost straight away, I was hooked up. I kept on watching the videos with his commentary and kept on tuning into streams. When I found out, that outside KZbin he built a Discord community, I immediately decided to join it and until today I'm happy and honoured to be a part of it. All this time I kept on observing how much his community kept on growing and I kept rejoicing for more and more opportunities that opened before him: be it commentary for GT Sport events, opportunities to try different racing cars irl (like McLaren 570S GT4, Audi RS3 TCR) new fun sim-racing events (including those for charity, like 23 Hours of Zolder race for mental health) or his ever-growing career in Club 100. And knowing from where he came from, how much he struggled earlier really shows the way he has come. I think his success lies in the fact how natural, warm and humble guy he is. Just keep on being yourself, Jimmy!
