Back in the 1970's in Kansas, when it got out that I was painting small stores in nowhere, people would bring me these old signs as stores closed for good, I used them in paintings and still have a few including a Philip Morris "Call for Philip Morris" with little Johnny. Now stores can keep such signs on the outside without them being stolen.
