I want to say thank you for this review. I was choosing next deck for myself, and this deck was in my list for a few year’s, but I always wasn’t sure that this deck is created for me. I had a lot of decks, I have a lot of decks, but I still wasn’t been able to find my soul deck, and now I think this one will be this type of deck. So much depth, so much poetry, so much beautiful details and rich pictures. U made a big opening for me and my journey! U travelled through this deck so good, now I can feel this deck a bit more, and it was my missing piece of the puzzle..

I was obsessed with this deck back in 2018. It doesn’t get the attention it deserves. It looks like it might be a second edition as the colour tones of the box and book is darker. Thank you for sharing and explaining why this deck speaks to your soul 🙏🏼💜

I'm so, so glad you love this deck. I feel the same. It is absolutely one of my favourite decks, which has such a unique place in my deck library. I think it has an oddly comic quality, darkly wry and it pairs beautifully with the zombie tarot. I use it when I'm in a certain mood, when only it will do...it reminds me how not to catastrophise!

Thank you so much. On their website there are different options…. Just the deck, just the book, or both together. It’s a deck where I strongly suggest you get the book. It’s beautiful anyway. The uk site I’m not sure about their options for buying the book, I couldn’t see it but I’m certain they could clarify. I do hope if you get it you love it as much as I do. I know that this video is from a good long time ago, but I was just curious currently what your opinions are still for this deck and if you maybe have a preference for this or Pagan Otherworlds? I don’t have the pagan other worlds so I’m afraid I can’t give you a preference. Honestly every time I’ve come to work with this deck after this video it said NO! I’ve mentioned it in other videos that I do t understand it. So I filmed this and then have had the deck to one side. Literally only this week it’s said …. Now! So watch this space. It’s been a big month and there’s big things going on so I wonder if it was waiting ❤️

The trouble I had with this deck, is that I seek actions in cards, whereas I saw these simply as characters in costumes (not performing actions).

@@toadstooltarot the characters and their appearances hold the symbology though like the king of cups with broad shoulders and an extra leg for stability and the 9 swords as an owl that could fly but has forgotten and is running… which symbolises the nature of nightmares. It’s got so much woven into it but I can see if you look for action in cards this may not initially be your thing. Thank you Robin for adding your views it helps everybody interested in this deck make great choices I appreciate that ❤️❤️

Well thank you but no thanks. I really like this deck, I have seen it before and it must've fallen off my radar. Do I need another WS based deck? No. I really do not. But what I like is the perspective on the cards.... the cards intrigues me ... Queen of Wands in a burka on an upside down boat? Challenges me, not gonna lie. I see their energy as nekkid dancing around a fire with full bush out, body paint and either in a forest or on the beach. That Hierophant's interpretation is the closest I have heard to my own perspective on this card. The Tower feels like I should get it, but it doesn't match up to my understanding - why? I have so many questions. So I bought the book, £17 +pp from Blurb. I might get the deck because the art and the buttery feels... but the diversity is low. The Queen of Pents feels... stereotypical in that it reinforces the assigned spiritual role for Black women in western society, this constant well of producing our fruits (read labour, craft, children, creativity, art, family, body), that is used by society to fuel agendas that are so toxic to so many... this along with the Queen of Wands in a traditional Muslim dress feels.... ummmm need to marinate on it. I don't hate it, it is a reflection of a reality, but do I want to own another deck like that, as I have so many? See this is why I need real life tarot friends!! To chew the fat about what these cards can show, what it brings up, challenges to my own interpretation of symbolism - hello I am a product of the society I was born into. As much as everyone else, it is on self responsibility to sort out what has the essence of truth or what is BS. Now to get up and dye my greys purple. Have a great day!
