I'm sad thinking of all the people in the younger generation who will think after seeing this drama that abusing women is forgivable. A women able to accepted every emotional and physical abuse and a men who is focus on his own pain, that's the worst cocktail. Calling this toxic relationship "true love" is disgusting. Beside that, most of the plots were good, so were the scenery and the acting was excellent. However, the resolution/end was too simple. If it was that easy, why the lead characters suffer so much?

It's about the real life people who will believe that it's not that bad to treat women this way. Movies and TV Shows set our culture and our morality. I actually like very much that they leave modern standards out of historical dramas. Not worried about the younger generation, the only way they can think that abusing is forgivable is if they see it as a normal thing in real life, which unfortunately sometimes is the case.

Что ж, на взгляд современного человека подобные отношения между мужчиной и женщиной ненормальны, но не будем забывать, что это историческая дорама, и в ней реалистично показаны отношения между господином и слугой. Для императора его сын - это его слуга, для наследника его женщина - его слуга, не ровня. Так было в истории не только Китая, для того времени подобные отношения были нормой. Посмотрите полностью дораму, кем были слуги тогда для господина? Смотреть данную дораму эмоционально очень тяжело, но она правдиво отражает отношения между людьми той эпохи. Равенство, "у меня есть права", свобода - этого не было.

Couldn’t watch this drama as too depressing and toxic. Father cruel and manipulating. Palace staff evil. FL wanted revenge. Son a pawn but evil as raised in that environment. Long and intense. Quite the ending too.

Io non ho capito perché la tiene rinchiusa per tre anni che amore è questo? Lei poteva andarsene suo padre l'aveva vendicato rimanere a palazzo e dividere il suo amore con le altre concubine per me non è stato bello.Lui diceva di amarla come ha potuto stare questi 3 anni senza vederla? Alla fine in questa scena la prende con la forza ,lei era più combattiva quando era una cameriera adesso la vedo più sottomessa non prende una decisione importante sarebbe lasciare tutto alle spalle e andarsene.
