Alastor's mother is sweet as anything, but no wonder Alastor hated the idea of seeing his parents again because of his deadbeat dad, especially when Alastor heard that he started watching TV, which was unheard of in their household, which makes me wonder if his dad is working for the Vees. No wonder Alastor mentally snapped when he manifested in Hell, because he didn't really have a role model and/or someone to look up to for good advice.

*I do mean this in a kind tone, I know text doesn’t translate that well.* It’s not supposed to be canon, it’s supposed to just be some cool content that these people made because it was probably taking over their brains for months to hold us over until season 2. It’s fanfiction, the AU (alternate universe) is that Alastor has an abusive father (pretty decided to be true by fans) and a twin brother (New for this) where he was born in hell and his mother doesn’t know she’s being abused. They know full well that his mother is agreed to be super kind by most fans, so would be considered to be in heaven (wether Viv said so or not, I’m unsure). They also know full well that he wasn’t born in hell, it’s just supposed to be an interesting take on the “Wait, what if this happened?” A quote from someone (forgot their name): “People need to learn to be able to consider things that are different from the source material. Sometimes people have a hard time processing when people make a story where the guy who was in a sad situation, never went through it or the guy who never went through a sad situation was shoved into one. It makes for an interesting story, and is one reason fandom exists. Not everything has to be true to the source material, or it would just be the source material again.” So, in short, it’s a fan fiction to hold us over until season 2 comes out because these people’s brains have been as consumed by Hazbin Hotel as others have been.
