Meeting Austin St. John and Returning the Helmet!

To everyone saying ASJ was being rude.. first of all, look at the line he has to deal with.. ALOT of other eager fans holding in their piss also waiting to meet him. He obviously has a long day ahead of him. He still took the time to return the helmet in a fun way, and took the time to acknowledge and shake his hand like a gentleman. Also how would you feel if you were constantly being crowded by a bunch of giddy fans who look like they’re about to pee themselves.. I know he’s a hero to many but he’s still human and stuff like this can be very draining on anyone. Although overwhelmingly busy, he remained professional. He’s already given a lot to all of us 90’s kids.. he doesn’t owe anyone anything.

A lot of people are saying that its weird that Austin made him wait. Honestly, it wasn't weird at all. If you've hosted an event like this and been in Austin's shoes, you'll know that it's common courtesy to finish your pre-existing conversation first, before moving onto another person. I've been in car shows where this was an issue. I'll see someone who is waiting to talk to me, and in the back of my mind I'm thinking "Man I hate making them wait.", But if you cut off your current conversation to move on, you come off as rude. So yes, I understand where Austin is coming from. Because if you notice, he walked out and that guy who was already with him, had a conversation already going with him. You guys need to see it from both sides. Not just one. Thanks.

Plus it's basic conversational etiquette even outside of this kind of high-pressure social situation. It's really rude to cut off a conversation with anyone just because someone you want to talk to more showed up.

It's hit or miss with some of these guys. Maybe he didn't get much sleep the night before. For some of them they have to travel pretty far to get to these places, and sometimes room and board is provided, sometimes not. Maybe he didn't like the place he stayed at or the promoter who runs the convention didn't pay him enough for his appearance. I'm not sure exactly but I feel some of these former actors agree to do it for the sake of trying to keep their careers going a bit longer.

Alright man, give it to me straight... how's the suit fit without the armor? We're similar builds and I've held off buying a red ranger cosplay because I worry about the tightness of the material over my stomach. Would you have felt comfortable just wearing the suit?

Do you have a compression shirt? You can buy those at Walmart or whatever. Similar feel. The suit was custom made for me...including my tummy...and so it is very accommodating! I feel very comfortable in my suit. the only problem would be the underhood (the white "head-bra" as my parents call it) because it is like wearing a scarf. If you live in a very cold area, then be sure to wear something warm over it. If live somewhere hot, then youll be fine
