It's only the park who thinks that. It's a shame, all the nice characters in the parks have to be friendly and smiley all the time. The villains have to be friendly enough, but they don't have to be generic smiley women - they can keep all their little mannerisms. @AmazingKatie~ Former entertainment CM here, and I have to ask what does it matter if it is a short man playing Sofia? More likely than not, it's a female in there due to the height, but a performer of the opposite gender makes no difference. In fact most performers for male characters like Stitch, Donald, and Mickey are females. I have only ever met 3 male performers who did female characters, and guess what? They were still amazing and brought magic to each guest they met. So tired of people thinking it's weird that there are males who can play female characters when it is literally their job and are trained to do so 🙄

So just to clarify, there are really only 11 "official" Disney Princesses: Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, Rapunzel, and Merida. Anna, Elsa, and Moana (as well as Elena) have never been a part of the official lineup, though they are certainly heavily marketed. I will say, it's still insane to me that Moana does not have a regular meet yet. Her movie has been out for over two years now, c'mon Disney.

You now may be thinking let me rant on this girl cause Olaf is her companion BUT HOLD YOU HORSES PEOPLE!!!!!! Olaf was created by Elsa soooo that is Elsa’s companion. Now you are thinking so Elsa is a princess but Anna isn’t. WRONG. Elsa is a queen so therefore she cannot and will not ever be a Disney princess. Moana is most likely in the future line up. Now you are thinking what about Alice and Vanellope and meg, etc. well they can’t be princesses cause they don’t have animal companions. And also GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT ALICE ISNT BORN ROYAL, MARRIED ROYAL, SHE ISNT EVEN ROYAL SO SHE CANNOT BE A DISNEY PRINCESS.

It seems the more recent the Disney film the more the actress fails to fill the mannerisms or overall role of their princess. they just behave like a woman dressed in a costume rather than princess elsa or merida or... Malawi or whatever

Yeah cause unlike some of the first few princesses, the newer princesses (jasmine - moana) doesn't act all proper, cute or princessy in the movies. They're more casual than the older generations. I think most of them did a good job.

"Face Character" Meet & Greets are amazing fun- the performers are so good sometimes. It's fascinating how they keep certain "facial characteristics" between some characters, but not others (Elena & Tiana, mostly). The Elsa here was stunning- I've met her before, but sadly she was one of the ones laid off by the pandemic lull. Really unfortunate that so many of these girls will no longer be there :(.
