Nice one Darshan ! Love that you learned Khasi language. I feel ashamed to have not learned it despite Meghalaya being one of my favourite places and having had Khasi classmates for 13 good years. Ab toh sikhna he parega. The Mustard leafs is actually called “Mustard Greens”. Also called “ Lai xaah/ saag” in Assamese & “ Lai patta “ in nagamese. It has a little stronger flavour than the mustard leaves / sarsoon da saag from the mustard seeds plant. You don’t get oil from these lai saag seeds. Plain simple boil lai saag is enjoyed by the Nagas. In Assam, we also make a sabji out of it. But, by far the most favourite way to have it is boil with pork. Just a little ginger and salt, plus a chilly or two can be added. You have touched the heart of every viewers of this channel and definitely much more of the local people from Meghalaya. I think you are the first vlogger to have made an effort to connect so well with the locals. No doubt your McLeod series also you connected well with the Tibetans. Keep it up. You’ll do this country good.
