So YT suggested your video, and I was like ok, let’s watch it, might be cute... but then, when I saw you two went to Prom (looks like it to me), it literally warmed my heart and started crying. When I went to my own Prom back in 1990, this would’ve been IMPOSSIBLE. I could never have gone out with a boyfriend, I would’ve received so much backlash and the school surely would’ve stopped us. I was such in pain and so alone in my teens, I had no one to talk to, was afraid to come out because of my violent father, didn’t want to loose my friends my world... but now I see your generation and it makes me feel soooo optimistic for the future! Please do not forget the countless activists who for decades fought for what you have today, were beaten, out in prison, lost their entire life, and sometimes even their own lives. It’s not perfect today, but a million times better than 30, 60 years ago. Cheers!
