I can’t believe how nice and respectful these people are, with the terrorist who killed their families. I’ve been to Indonesia multiple times, and they are fantastic and kind people, with the most beautiful smile. Imagine if westerners were allowed to meet the terrorist? It would have been very different.

Yes I know I dont get it either I get bali 9 are drugs smugglers but it's people's choice to take the drugs nobody had a choice when it came to the bombings

Terrorism is hard to prove, including actions such as inciting terrorism or intent (which is especially tricky). They also operate in networks, which why police may think it’s better to keep them alive than dead (for information purposes). Drug offenses are easier to prove, there are obvious material evidence and actions. Also the Bali 9 were foreigners, and every country in the world will punish foreigners harsher than their own citizens.

this documentary is very touching, especially in current times (2024) and has a potential message for 8 BILLION people around the world. BBC could have promoted this video in a different context and it could have gotten 6 MILLION views and spreading the message around the world. Unfortunately.

dude.. dont blame the religion, blame the ppl who did tht In fact, islam teaches to respect each other and strictly prohibits terrorism. This has also become part of Pancasila in Indonesia. God is watching, but God will reward them someday.. theyr the teachings of the Islamic religion which are heretical and they do not at all reflect the attitude of muslims.
