Hi Candy, lovely to see you have a look at Marseille...careful though, the bug might bite you and you'll be hooked! ;) I'm almost exclusively a Marseille/Pip deck reader these days. I can highly recommend Caitlin Matthews' book 'Untold Tarot' if you want a short easy read that will help you dive in right away. Tom Benjamin's workbook 'Tarot on Earth' is brilliant for hands on exercises and experience. Or if you prefer audio/visual learning, he also has an excellent Marseille course on The Tarot Reader's Academy. Have a look into what Enrique Enriques calls 'eye rhymes', his documentary 'Tarology' is still available on Amazon Prime and is well worth a watch. I read with these style decks freestyle most of the time (which is apparently more traditional but also seems to work well for Marseille). Some will supplant RWS meanings onto pip decks but I read them differently. It's all personal taste as always. Happy Marseille studying! x

Ahh what a brilliantly helpful comment Kelly you are a darling thank you! I recently got Tom Benjamin’s book so that’s sitting on my bookshelf. I’m going to check out everything else now too. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

You won't believe it Candy- but I have this deck! This is the only truly Marseilles deck that I own. It is so much more interesting after finding out about the directionality of the foliage. The 10 of Cups being about leadership made so much sense! Thank you for mentioning the calendar💜😊

This is one of my favourite Marseille style decks - the colours are gorgeous! If you get into TdM, I highly recommend a class with Camellia Elias or Enrique Enriquez - a real game changer, that brought this system to life. 💜🌟

@@CandySoulAndSoil I just ordered the book! I'm not a fan of the colors and faces in the CBD so I will be ordering the Spanish Tarot soon and have the Jodorowsky Tarot coming. That's a deck with all sorts of interesting details hidden within the art. Can't wait!

I think with the hanged man those " fingers " hanging down were actually epaulettes ( because he was a soldier ) and his hands were tied behind his back, but whoever redrew the image mistook them for fingers & hands.

Ooooh yes so about death someone wrote on Amy’s vid that it was thought to be due to the fear around death (maybe due to the church) but also during the time of plagues and illnesses etc and people didn’t want to call on death. In case you haven’t seen the comment yet. I love this tag. I would like to learn the system too. Would love to hear how you get on lovely 💓 Xxx

Emily I’ve just seen it.... I hadn’t when I made the video so more synchronicities. Did you see the comment underneath about the body parts in the death card and the severed foot being the foot of the hanged man! 😮
