this comment is very, very long after this video was originally made, but I remember watching this video when it first came out, and watching it again now has made me cry so many times I first got into splatoon in december 2019, but I first began watching splatubers a few months before that. I remember watching failboat first, then finding everyone he collabed with as a result, including fyrus. I recently began looking back at failboat's videos because it's been about maybe one or two years since I last watched him consistently, and it's been so much fun because it reminds me of a completely different time of my life. it sounds stupid, but I was more innocent and I was more naïve when I originally watched those videos. it feels extremely nostalgic watching them, and, though I do enjoy aspects of my life right now that weren't present back then, it reminds me of how blissful those times were, and it makes me sad knowing that they'll probably never come back this was one of the videos that I watched the most. unlike all of the other ones, it was more emotional. it wasn't gaming, nor was it outwardly trying to be funny or something for the algorithm to latch to (that's not to say failboat's or anyone else's videos are). this video is made of pure passion; I can bet that with certainty that fyrus didn't care how well this would do when he was making it. he wanted to make it just to make it, because he wanted to commemorate this major moment in his life, and that made me feel something. but, watching it back now, I cry, because things have changed in my life since the last time I watched it a few years ago I haven't really had many friends in my life. I grew-up a kind of lonely kid. I was basically mute until I was in fourth grade, which was when I actually kinda started talking to people a bit, but it was fifth grade when I started to actually talk to people. I made some friends, but none of them really lasted past the grade, and this lasted until eighth grade (though, there was one person whom I became friends with in sixth grade whom I'm still friends with, so that's fun. but those kinds of friendships weren't very common for me, so yeah), which was when I made a few friends who I still talk to this is all in school, though. in seventh grade, I became friends with someone named gavin online. the same grade, I became friends with people named yolotzin and angel. in eighth grade, I became friends with one Damien, and, in ninth, someone named cameron. this group of people means so much to me, I can't even begin to explain it. I've never felt so connected to other people, and I've never had people whom I could talk about all my interests to (at least people who would understand me). I'm so unbelievably happy to have met all of them; I adore talking to them where this comes into play is, that, this year, for Damien's birthday, we planned to visit him where he lives for a few days and do things with him; and we did that. I will never forget that trip. I have never been happier in my entire life. I will never forget the feeling I got when I was waiting in the restaurant where I met Damien in, nor will I ever forget the feeling I had meeting cameron at his house, nor will I ever forget the feeling I had meeting gavin at a park, nor will I ever forget the feeling I had kissing cameron multiple times. that trip meant so much to me; I immediately wanted to go back the moment that we left to the airport, and the last night I had with Damien I cried so much for so long. it was painful to leave him and everyone, and I so dearly want to see all of them again and do even more than we did last time, and have even more time together seeing jay meet fyrus, and seeing them meet failboat, and seeing them meet gab reminded me of all the emotions I felt the days before seeing everyone and the moments that I saw everyone. seeing their antics reminded me of all the goofy stuff I did with my closest friends. just seeing them laugh together reminded me of all the fun I had with my friends. all of this stuff happened at once, and all of it made me so emotional at one moment. now I understand how fyrus and everyone else felt in this video, when originally I couldn't, and that makes me appreciate and relate to this video so much. this was one of my favourite videos, but this extra layer has made me love it even more anyways, that's my little ramble. I just really felt like making this comment because this video touched me in a way that no other youtube video has - damien

this shit’s gonna make me cry, in october i’m going to finally meet my best friends in person (including one who ive known for nearly 9 years) and this just makes me even more excited and reminds me of how much i love them. this video just radiates joy i love seeing others happy with friends who love them, world fucking peace :,) EDIT: plans changed and i ended up meeting them in late june! literally the best week of my life with the best people in my life, we’re already planning our next meetup and i miss them so much it hurts
