I think Jenifer assumed she was just another of Kelly's bimbo's, but once she realized she wasn't, she was nice to her. Jenifer even said she thinks Kelly is just like Benny so I think she assumes the worst of him when it comes to women. But in season 7 she told Stella how good she is for Kelly.
