Douma taking each and every opportunity to troll Akaza is so funny to me. "Oh yeah. I'm letting him hit me. Getting the job first but not getting promoted before me must really suck. I can't believe he's not as strong as me either. My poor friend." Also, you really see the difference between the Upper and Lower Moons in this meeting. When the Lower Moons were summoned, they kept their heads bowed the whole time and were sweating bullets. When the Upper Moons were summoned, even as Muzan was getting angry and talking down to them, they were pretty chill about it.

The upper ranks haven't been changed in over 113 years. The timeline between the OG sunbreather and Tanjiro is significantly different and not related to the Kamado family at all. It also wouldn't make sense for the OG sun breather to be Upper Moon 1 given different clothes, VA, and Muzan's PTSD against anyone wearing those earrings & wanting them all to die still after 100+ years

There is such a thing as visual story telling and making MULTIPLE characters look alike can indeed confuse people. People remember what they see more than what they read for less than 10 seconds. You dont know how much i've been waiting for the UM meeting scene to be animated. Im a manga reader, and i've always been a fan of Kokushibo, its crazy how the animator did him so well.. just when i thought he couldnt get scarier than the manga, and then i remember Ufotable is going to flex on us 😂😂. He was not the most bizzare looking demon but definitely the most terrifying one in my opinion.🔥🔥

its right there on the subtitle, the guy who looks exactly like Tanjiro is not Tanjuro ( Tanjiro's dad) its sumiyoshi ( its in the subtitle) this is like around century ago, so that guy who look like Tanjiro with a black and green checker pattern kimono is Tanjiro's ancestor, also the mysterious sword guy does look like UM1 kokusibo but notice the subtle difference in their outfit, one wears red kimono with hanafuda earrings, the other with purple kimono without the earrings
