I had everything for this game with (all 3 kickstarter all-in campaigns !). Me and My group did all 3 campaigns (first one one you are doing right now, 2nd box takes place on the moon on an alien base, and third box one is on their home planet !). It took us around 3 years to do it all at about a session or 2 per month. We had a blast ! There's pretty awesome stuff in that 2nd and 3rd box, like jet packs and Iron Man type suits. Then I sold all my stuff. But seeing your playthrough I wouldn't mind just buying back the base game though... Yes, please.. more !!

So, so underrated. Especially the expansions elevate this game to a totally new level. Best NPCs in a coop campaign game. ;) The whole engine is so Well made. I am still waiting for other studios to design a coop crawl/skirmish Engine to come even close.

Thanks for this, I still love this game, regret not getting the expansions. Have all of S&S but wish they had used the hex token system for levelling up etc, easily use d6/d4 dice for cooldown, the player board is far more intuitive and easier to manage than the S&S system which requires a big table to play on. due to the card system.

I have this layout on my table for the last few months and at the same mission 2. Actually, there is a benefit to play until 11 rounds. Each rounds you defeat an alien, you get an alien fragment. When you get 4, you can get a improved weapon. So, you maybe under level in the future mission if you skip the rounds.

That is true!! The thing is you can only bring certain weapons anyways limited by the mission that's why it felt like it was better to just play to 3c scientists! Thanks so much for watching!!

More GD please, taking a break between missions of Purple Haze. Please continue to pulll your favourites off tge shelf and post video playthrougys, I rarely watch previews anymore. Purple Haze is one of my few recent crowdfunding arrivals, buying less games mostly retail but a few crowdfunds, generally expansions, I have so many great games by genre and mechanic, not many tempt me. Too many don't live upto the hype which is why I am switching to retail after they have proved to be suitable for me. I do have 5-6 games I pledge for years ago arriving by summer next year and a huge backlog of KDM, 12 wave 4 expansions , I pledged for back in 2018(KD 1.5).

So do you feel like this has had more staying power than Sword and Sorcery for you now? I remember when I first started watching your content on One Stopk, S&S was one of your faves, but I think I remember you saying it had fallen for you. How do you compare the two now? Need to try one or both at some point :). I do like this theme as a breath of fresh air for a crawler.

Yup! I sold S&S but kept this one. I like the theme and the hex instead of area as well as the challenge in this one better than S&S. That said S&S is much more of a robust campaign so if you enjoy a more fleshed out campaign I'd recommend S&S!
