Tami said families across Jamaica came together to watch Tessanne on the voice, it was really families across the entire Caribbean. I remember coming together, sitting in my living room with my entire extended family in Antigua rooting for Tessanne. We screamed when the chairs turned for her and cried like if she was our sister when she won. The ENTIRE Caribbean celebrated in that moment because we viewed it as not only a win for Jamaica but also a win for the entire region! I absolutely love hearing her story.

You not lying. I knew that people in Jamaican were Celebrating and also Jamaicans across the Diaspora. But, Social media made me realize that Caribbean People all over The World were Celebrating for Tessie. It was so Beautiful. Tessanne united the Entire Diaspora, like no one else, I've ever seen.

Mash up fi work but it was so so worth it! There were WhatsApp groups and everything and Dutty Berry’s Voice countdown was so funny supporting our Chinita Goodas! So proud of her. She just doesn’t know how much she is loved.

I remember when you guys came to Florida, tami was pregnant and she and Tess check into the hotel late. Around 10 pm. I checked you both in at the Hyatt Pier 66 at the time and I remember upgrading you to the Marina suite and you guys saying “Devroy how deh walk yah so far”. I remember when everyone found out Tess would be on the voice. All the Jamaican radio stations were so excited!! It was because of Tess why I watched the voice for the 1st (and last time). I had non-caribbean folks who have never heard of her, cheering her on and voting for her. 'Bread an butta' was the slogan fi dat yr!! Lol....when Tess sang the Whitney Houston song, I actually cried when she hit the note!! Y'all know that note...bwoy it did touch mi. Right then I knew she's the winner. (My own lil story time)I was attending glenmuir in Clarendon and I lived in Spanish town , I use to get home late in the evening and my mom would be soo upset threaten to beat me . 1. Tami’s blowout looks amazing. 2. Tess is so beautiful - inside and out. 3. Wayne is the consummate supporter. Everybody needs a Wayne in their corner. 4. The Voice, sadly, like every other singing show, is not and was never actually interested in developing talent. It’s all about ratings and feeding the egos of their celebrity judges. If they cared about their artists they would ensure better record deals and handling of the talent. One of the many good things that came out of it though-that even The Voice can’t fumble or diminish-is that now the whole world knows what an extraordinary talent Tessanne actually is. No gimmicks. No manufacturing. No artificial packaging. Just pure talent. Big up Tessanne.

I have two main stories about Tessy voice, I went into my email and phone and vote vote vote, my friend was like wait Mr Chin a pay yu😁 I was working from home and had a jamaican customer on my line and Tessanne was about to perform and my customer said yu watching, and I just simple sey "Sir can I place you on hold" and when I came back to the call he said, "yu seeit" I said yes and we just continued the professional conversation like nothing happened. I remember my family including extended gathering in one house to watch Tessanne..you would think is we send har off to go compete the way we use to carry on! We cuss out everybody who sang before her like we were learned in music, criticising every pitch and tone then when so singer sounded extra good we say alright Tess u haffi show dem weh u come from now! Then we tense up through her performance grabbing up each other hand and clothes, then when she finish me seh we tek it awn like a stadium we deh...pot cover, vogozella..or sumpn like so, cheering...a nuh Tessanne one win the voice, a di whole a we!!! Dwl!!!

I may always be late for these videos but when Tess was on The Voice........Oh My Rahtid.......DAT DON'T MISS ME!!!! I was ALWAYS 30mins before time! When Tessie sang Bridge Over Troubled Waters........bloody hell!!!!! I had goose bumps! I was in awe! I was like😮😮😮😮😮😮!!! When she dun sing......I remember getting up and clapping like a proud mamma! I was top 5 with Tess, Will, James and Jacquie. Tess is one of the kindest most special people I've ever had the honor to meet and know. I miss her and think about her often. Please tell her I send my love. I loved hearing the full story of her experience from her perspective because I only have my own memory of it through my eyes. It's amazing to hear that she was just as starry-eyed and intimidated as all the rest of us were. It was a special time and I cherish it, always.

When I heard that Tessi was going to talk about her Voice experience and I say that the vlog time was 31 minutes, I figured something was wrong because that time seemed rather short. I was happy when I got to the end and saw that there will be a Part 2 tomorrow. All became right with the world.
