Coming from someone who enjoyed the first movie There were bits that I found just a little too cheesy for my liking and of course some questionable acting moments(mostly from the extras) but I have to say it was extremely entertaining I personally have a hard time just shutting my brain off and embracing stuff like this and have always viewed things somewhat critically But these movies have helped with that and this was a delight for me to watch despite the few gripes I have

IMO, this was one of the worst movies I’ve seen in a while. This is Asylum level writing with a big budget. There was ZERO catharsis to any of the villain deaths. They all just come out of absolutely nowhere. The best part was when that lady’s helmet decompressed and crushed her face. That was great. Although “Underwater” did that death way better.

I already knew exactly when it would happen, and that it would have no build-up. Additionally, the billionaire lady had NO reason to be on sight at all. You don’t see Elon Musk or Mark Zuckerberg going to their expensive research labs during times of crisis. The suits always stay very far away. The only reason she showed up is so we could watch her get killed. Very contrived, very stupid. The only death that felt even a little earned was the mercenary guy, but by that point, I was checked out.
