something really cool i found out last time i flew. we can have almost any kind of tools with us. even a big 1 1/8 open end wrench thats over a foot long. cause it can be used for the axle nuts on the chair. so any tool big or small you can think of that youll need to repair your chair you can take through TSA security. even Co2 canisters. cause i have a little presta valve that takes those to inflate a spare tube for my tires. so being in a chair does let you bring on board lots of stuff.

Something cool about this video - I went back thru the airport recently and this same lady frisked me. She told me I'd recently spoken to a local high school and she had heard good reviews. I asked her how she knew. She told me she coaches there and some of the students came running to her one day saying they had had the best speaker ever and they went to her website and watched her videos and they saw HER (the coach/frisker). Small world :)

Okay so I have an upcoming international flight and I wear leg braces I'm worried tagt I'm going to have trouble with security do you have any tips

They didn't make you take off your shoes? They probably will have to take off my braces, before getting checked whenever I do fly! I will! Someday

I am getting ready to fly for the first time alone, and for the first time in my wheelchair. My muscles spasms like crazy when someone touches them, so I know that this is going to be rough. I hope a get a decent agent who doesn't get excessive... also worry I will want to punch them in the face if they do something stupid like I have seen in so many movies. And then I'll never make it to NYC

Wow. Thorough much? I would have been cracking jokes with her lol. Ever read that story about the kid and his mom through the airport...and they "found" bomb residue on the wheels of the chair. Separated the child from the mother for HOURS... Smh......
