I finally broke down and finally getting this, so checking reviews here on KZbin. True it is a little lackluster in things to do inside with the walls. But a little imagination and 1000's of spare lego pieces in the collection, can give some more life to it. Was looking on Bricklink at a custom drill transport module to place in it. So far your the first reviewer I've seen who has said the front door opens to that wide open space in the back. Can see this is gonna be a long build. Thanks for showing people and me this set. Btw, saw some pics online, crazy this is bigger then the original toy version.

At just under 3k pieces, this set is huge. Very well engineered also. However, with the bags not being numbered and you needing many bricks from several different bags in order to complete - you're looking at needed a huge amount of space to separate the blocks or putting the blocks into one giant pile. Separating the bricks into color shades isn't enough, there has the be every kind of brick shape in this and in 5 different colors, although black, dark grey and white are the most plentiful. No numbering the bags was a fatal blunder on Mega's part. Whomever decided to not number the bags should be fired and kicked square in the butt on the way out. This will take you 5 times longer than it should to build this without the bags being numbered in most cases. 40 hours to build isn't within reason if that is even reasonable. You really need a huge amount of space to separate the blocks or don't do this at all. If all you have is a dinner table or a bed to separate this, take it back and get your money back. This isn't worth the frustration.

I think it took me 18 hours... And yes... I used like and hour to snap-pile all the same figures... I have to admit I liked the feeling of splitting the piles.

I'm on page 36 now, This thing is going to take me at least 2 weeks, This thing is no joke, Kinda makes me wish I woulda just bought the one assembled on ebay for 100.00...lol. your def not kidding about your legs killing you, for me It's my back.. Well, I picked up the Technodrome this morning, Not sure when I will be putting it together though since I kinda got set back a little bit. I was supposed to pay my bills last night and was having problems withdrawing what I needed off of it. Luckily I tried the ATM this morning and it gave me the rest of it, only bad thing is that now I have to spend some of today with the bills before I can get into hooking up this Holy Grail. But I'll keep in touch and let you know how it all goes, I won't be doing a review mostly cause I'm camera shy but you already laid down the entire set for everyone. I will be watching your review over and over though while I put it together.

I do believe you here, My biggest problem and problem with the small sets was that I have to wear glasses to see, and It was hard to see where certain pieces went. I fear that part for sure. It will probably for sure be more than 2 days for me.. Still I'm not working right now, since I had surgery not long ago and I am now back on dialysis for the second time for a kidney transplant 18 years later from my previous transplant. Anyways I'm just saying that all I have is time. I get somewhat bored at times just sitting around at home and out of work. So I kinda look at it like it's something for me to do that will keep me busy for awhile. It may be one of the biggest upper about getting into these things.

Thanks man, Yeah It's def a rough life, but I make the best of it. I do what I gotta do to keep myself up and try to just be as regular as a healthy person. I started to get really short of breath, like walking from the car to the door of my place and being on one knew kinda out of breath, It was bad, that's when I knew I didn't have a choice but to go to the hospital, I knew it was my kidney though. I just wasn't going to the hospital till it was bad enough that I couldn't go anymore, I was also getting bad nose bleeds and headaches like everyday. 7 years ago my dr told me i needed to go back on dialysis and I ignored it and made it all 7 years without any problems. I'm a stubborn person what can I say...lol... I never seen that dr after that appointment, and didn't take my medications either, My dr now told me 18 years is a long time with a kidney. I had my first transplant 18 years ago and believe it or not, I have 3 kidneys in my body right now. They never took my original 2 out. I think that's what shocks most people when I tell my story so I thought I'd share it with ya.
