*Teal and Orange* - the cinematographer's dream combination! Next time you watch a TV drama, see how many times you can spot it quietly at work in the background. *This is **_gorgeous_** work, Cathleen.* I'm enjoying revisiting some of your 'vintage' work while I spend the Easter weekend cleaning, tidying and (hopefully!) cooking. As a carer currently on a v tight budget, it's lovely to be able to vicariously enjoy you experiment and create as I have little time to do so myself just now. Thank heavens for youtube - and thank you, thank you! 🩵🧡

Naturally thank you so much for your words. I know what ya mean about not getting some things done. I have a new rule (had to do it) I do my house stuff in the morning. Man goes to gym, I run downstairs and paint for two hours. Man comes home 🏠 we hang out. Man round errands, I run back to studio and fiddle. If it’s raining out I paint all day 😁 I love it when it rains 🖼🎨😊

I'm so glad I saw this video. My daughter wants me to make her 3 large square paintings in black, white, gold and teal to go on the wall of her staircase. Initially I thought of a triptych, but decided to do 3 seperate techniques using the same 4 colours (to make it a set). One will be a Dutch pour, she wants one done with balloon dip, and of course one will be a swipe. You are such an inspiration Cathleen, your work is fabulous!!

I love this painting, I have been subscribing to your channel ever since I began pouring, your teaching methods are awesome. Please clarify, I noticed your not using a new damp paper towel each time you swipe, is that correct? Beautiful work! Also you mentioned you like to leave your canvas in their natural state sometimes, if you stack them do they stick together when they dry? I have had canvases do that, they were dry for 3-4 weeks, when stacked together they stuck around the edge of a few & had to repair.

What purpose does the Floetrol serve? Doesn't the Liquitex pouring medium and the GAC 800 take the place of Floetrol?
@COZCreationsArt2 жыл бұрын
Hello Crow. They all do different beneficial things. The Floetrol is a paint conditioner and extender. The Gac 800 helps with cracking, crazing and is archival. The liquitex is all of the above. It’s just the perfect combination that works for me. Keep in mind that you can paint with just Floetrol and water. Many do.

@@COZCreationsArt thank you sooo much. So which pm is very good that does NOT create cells?
@ruthduffy14194 жыл бұрын
My question is what do you use as pouring medium, and second I watched a video where you tilt the work and I think it's called dirty pour but your base coat doesn't run off
@COZCreationsArt4 жыл бұрын
Hello Ruth. Thanks for joining me. My PM is 75% Floetrol to 25% Gac800. If you watch in my videos, I tilt my canvas using stacked cups. That way it’s on an Angle. Then I apply my base coat and let the excess paint roll off. That way when I do my swipes I don’t have to tilt. Sometimes tilting is good. Cloud pours, ring pours ect. Sometimes I don’t want my paints to move. So less paint on the canvas means we can do this. Hope that answers your question. If not reach out. 🎨😊
@dalialovesdoggies43612 жыл бұрын
WHAT is it that creates the cells?Why does the beautiful turquise don't show much?
@COZCreationsArt2 жыл бұрын
Some times a color sinks. Swiping over it brings it back. The cells are created by the different paint densities. One paint sinks and pushes the other paint up. Floetrol contributes as well. So many factors. Wish I payed better attention in science class 🤪🤪🤪

Hello Karen. Glad your here. I just started myself earlier this year. Please reach out if I can help you with your journey. I watched hundreds of KZbin videos when I started. I also practiced, practiced and practiced. I got discouraged at times, but kept going. Happy Painting Karen 🎨😊🖼🎨😁
