First of all now Dam is not choice but necessity as China has passed world largest dam on Bhramaputra. What govt. can do is to have dialogue with Civil Society and address their concern What Concerned citizen can do is to stop their rigid approach that they won't let dam construct. Let concerned parties come on discussion table and find amicable solution to this problem

@northguy9274 Sorry brother but I think you don't understand the gravity of situation. When China releases water in huge quantity we need store that water in our reservior and discharge water slowly ( in technical term it is called ATTENUATION of PEAK DISCHARGE) for that you need to have DAM

Aur kitna dam banayega national interest ka naam me? Lower Subansiri 2000 MW, Upper Subansiri 2000MW,Middle Subansiri 1800 MW,Dibang Etalin dam 3000MW,Kalai Dam 1200MW, Naying Dam 1000MW. Not including the one lower than 1000MW ...and now this Siang project 12000MW.koi majak hai kya ?.. already in a seismic zone 5..say no more to dam in this region.
