Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist was the first then brand-new game I played on my then brand-new Genesis/Mega Drive on Christmas Day 1992. While it's more or less a watered-down and altered port of TMNT: Turtles in Time (aka TMNT4: TIT) from the arcades, I still enjoyed it. I wish Konami could have worked in an altered hoverboard stage with the Turtles hoverboarding down the Brooklyn Bridge or the Hudson River, or something like that.

I love this game. Bought it for my Mega Drive just a few months ago. Had never played this before then and it is truly a masterpiece. The Sega version of Turtles in Time if you put it that way. =)

ironcally in the arcade port of turtles in time which he also appeared. Leather head is the weekest boss in the whole game. Robot krang and shredder were a pain in the ash to beat. I belive my fastest completion time was and hour. I can beat easy mode on the snes game in like half that time. Fun game regardless.

Yeah, Hyperstone wasn't nearly as good as Turtles in Time. Even as a "Genesis Guy" I can admit that, but... 1.) That wonderful, wonderful dash button. 2.) The "Back to the Sewers", and "Shredder's Hideout" stage music. Which are both freaking fantastic songs.

Both are great games on their own merits. The only thing I dislike about this game, it's far too short in stages, could've used at least 2 more. I always felt the boss rush towards the end was a copout.

If Rat King had been Boss of scene 2, Bebop replaced Leatherhead and Metalhead with Roller bots replaced Tastu with foot in scene 4 this game would be so much better.

Yeah, Hyperstone Heist kicks Turtles in time's ass. The music is much better, the graphics are much more detailed. This is clearly one of the ebst MD games ever.

Turtles in Time SNES for me Hands Down. I think it bitch slaps this one but that's my opinion. I wouldn't dismiss this game though it's definitely worth playing, it's got its own story so it's not a copy of the SNES game. I love the bosses added in the SNES version that weren't in the arcade Rat King, Technodrome Shredder, Slash, BebopANDRocksteady as pirates no less. Genesis had Tatsu which is cool he is a favorite from the movies. For a kickass time PLAY BOTH.

Interesting: the American release of this game was already ridiculously easy, at least compared to all Turtles in Time releases. I could only imagine how much easier than that the slower PAL format release shown here must be.

Game is great except the recycled crap 4th stage the gauntlet. Also no Beebop is another miss. The pluses are great graphics, animation, and music. Really close to perfection here a little laziness brings the game down.
