That big Komatsu needs its tyres pumped a bit lol. Maybe some expanding foam might do the trick if they cant take air. Great video and such a cool setup. I wish there was conventions like that here in Ireland. My new Huina excavator, bulldozer and dump truck would probably be very small in that site though lol.

That machine IS MASSIVE! I bet that excavator could load the massive RC4WD mine truck, the one that's around 2 foot wide. That screen plant is neat too. I like the conveyor belt discharging material directly into the trucks.

they cost more than a literal car, i hope this explains why you didnt see any. edit: a fairly normal sized excavator (in this case, a liebherr 956) costs a bit over ten thousand dollars.

Seems like they aren't using foam inside the tires either. I always used some foam in RC tires to give them some resistance to compression like air pressure in full scale tires.

this is pretty cool, wonder if we have anything like this that goes on in the states. though one question, why do they not glue the tires to the rims? seen several vehicles in this video where they either spin rims in the tires, or show a clear bead seperation. is there a particular reason?

Noob question.... can you run these on a cable connected to mains electricity using a suitable DC transformer (360 tracked excavators)? I am thinking pole in middle of 'garden' with some kind of cable retraction mechanism.. spring/counterweight??

Wouldnt even need to be that fancy, do like they do full scale, but minitureized, get a retractable extention cord, mount it 5 ish feet in the air, use like 14 or 16 gage wire instead of 10/12 thats in it, use a voltage monitor at the other end so it doesnt go outside of a spacified range, plug in with XT90 connector, have fun till your controller dies.
