Awesome army, your voice is not as loud as the music, but the army is huge and beautiful painted.

Thanks! Damn, that's annoying about the music, I apologize. It's hard to tell on the editing software how loud it will actually sound.

Only just seen this! Fantastic looking army. I know what you mean about the Aventine elephants being the best. I always think the Victrix elephants' ears are wrong! they almost look back to front. Great video thanks.

Great video and presentation but, at least on my phone/computer, the music at the start drowned out your voice. Assume you'll play and have based everything for "To the Strongest"? Great stuff. Cheers.

Sorry about the music, It's hard to tell the correct volume to set at on my editing software - it tends to sound very quiet! Yes all set up for To The Strongest. Playing my first game in probably a year on Monday!

Such a spectacular and splendid army, phalanx and elephants are truly impressive, nice job on the bases as well...Inspired vignette with the general on the rock! Thumbs up!

Thanks! I did try and put some effort into the bases of this army, the commander standing on the rock was a fun experiment.

that is a really great "put together" army. Great explanations on why you choose specific units/equipment choices as well.

I can't hear the beginning because of the music. But is the first model supposed to be Alexander?
@TriariusWarGaming3 жыл бұрын
The first commander is a generic Macedonian, he could be used as Alexander but I didn't specifically paint him to be Alexander.

@@TriariusWarGaming Thanks for the reply. I'm new to this (literally by only three daya 🤣) and I have been looking at a lot of your videos and others for what models to buy. I like the Victrix and Warlord sets. A few other questions, first about the silver shields you have, what make/model are they? Secondly, What make/model are the companians/heavy cavalry?
@TriariusWarGaming3 жыл бұрын
@@JonnyChapelow thanks and welcome to the hobby! Sorry my camera work is so bad. Victrix are my go to plastics. The silver shields are aventine miniatures in the front ranks, with Wargames foundry in the back. They all have Wargames foundry embossed Macedonian shields. The cavalry are Wargames foundry in the black cloaks, and aventine in the red cloaks with the heavier armor. Let me know if you have anymore questions, I am happy to help however I can.
@JonnyChapelow3 жыл бұрын
@@TriariusWarGaming Thanks, very much appreciate the replies. I've actually just purchased the Victrix Macedonian heavy cavalry to start with. I'm hoping to make them look like Alexanders Campanion Cavalry. Once I buy all the suitable paints and brushes etc 🤣 starting from scratch.
@TriariusWarGaming3 жыл бұрын
@@JonnyChapelow awesome! For Alexander’s cav give them the lances, cloaks, and no shields. Paint the cloaks yellow with a purple stripe. Do you know what paints you are planning on using?

Amazing collection and really inspiring. Can I ask what painting references you used to complete your models?
@TriariusWarGaming2 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! Much appreciated! Some sources for colors I used was “The Macedonian War Machine” by David Karunanithy. It has a couple awesome chapters about military clothing, armor, and supply. Nikolas Sekunda has some ospreys as well as some academic works published that I used. I live near a university which had the academic (and very dry) Sekunda stuff.

Do you think you could use this army on a 6x4 table or would you use a bigger table because you’re using 28mm?
@TriariusWarGaming2 жыл бұрын
@@BearGrisham I pretty much always play on a 6 X 4, I haven't used the entire force together before though. I think a bigger table would be better, but 6 X 4 is a lot easier logistically. Also no 8 X 6 game mats 😥

Where do you get the bases from and also your trees?
@TriariusWarGaming2 жыл бұрын
@@BearGrisham Bases are from big red bat shop. The pine trees are from a German company called Noch I bought on amazon.Others are done using sage brush you can buy online from model railway suppliers and the plastic tree kits and foliage you can buy on amazon.
