Mega Man 4 - Dust Man's Stage

Ugh... Fresh installs of Windows are really annoying. I missed yesterday's update because I have spent the last day and a half getting eeeeeeverything working from scratch again. Every time you think you are done, there are more Windows Updates and reboots to go through, eeeeek. Oh well... everything is back up and running again now, so back to uploading!
Dust Man's stage... This one is one of my favourites as it has plenty of variety, it looks quite nice, the music is good, etc. The crusher room is particularly amusing to go through... having a turbo controller lets you try some silly tactics! I suggest being a bit more careful than me, though...
The boss himself is pitifully easy, no matter what weapon you are using... but hey, he is fun to fight so that is all that matters! Even if the rings off him in a matter of seconds... like most Mega Man bosses, hehe. =P

This stage definitely left an impression on me when I first played it. (as an eight year old or so) I wasn't sure what was in the background myself at that time. Now it's clearly conveyor belts dropping off masses of junk.

1: The levels are designed before the robot masters. Capcom just picks their favorite fan designs and if they happen to fit the levels they came up with, that's an added bonus. Hence you get Top Man in a greenhouse level. 2: It makes sense that robot masters don't fit their level sometimes, especially when their someone else's robots that Dr. Wily corrupted into world conquest machines. Just because Dust Man's in a scrap heap doesn't make him any less of a house cleaning robot. It just means Wily wanted that area taken and Dust Man was available. 3: It does raise the question of why the glorified vacuum cleaner is powerful enough to pick up metal and strong enough to expel it with enough force to dent impossible to forge with modern technology titanium alloy armor on a robot with impact dampening systems. Cossak's hatred of dust is going to have all the paint stripped from his walls too.
