I love both arrangements that you've made in that they have distinct feels to them. The old version feels closer in sound to the original Mega Man games (specifically 1-6) whereas this version has a more MM7 or MMX series vibe to it. It's wonderful to have these options in such great music!

They can, but don't specifically need to. That said, it is handy for clearing their optic displays of obstructions or dust, or sheltering their optic displays against damage, much like how humans use the ability to blink to clean and protect the eyes.
