Mega Man 6: Wily Stage (Arranged)

This theme is one of my favourite Wily Stage themes, it has some sort of sad feel about it and I love it.
Also I love Mega Man 6 in general.

Mega Man 6 is that one game in the series I feel fans overlook. This game's ost is really good, it might not be god tier like 2, 3 and 4, but it still has some amazing tracks like this one, Blizzard Man, Mr. X Stage, the boss theme and the final boss theme.

First off, let's get something straight here: MM6 was way way overlooked. Sure it may not have been the hardest but it was still good immersive fun. It had some awesome soundtracks, fun levels and some neat powerups [Jet Adaptor comes to mind]. Btw: MM4 was the worst in the series. Some poor programming, barely memorable music and a few poor weapons didn't help it at all. Back to MM6! MM6 is a game I always look forward to playing - again, wasn't the hardest but it wasn't a pushover either. Memories are strong with this song. I too felt it had a sort of sad feel about it and I think I know why: this would be the last ever Wily battle you would fight on the 8-Bit Nintendo Entertainment System. Back then, 'retro' wasn't as cool as it is today in 2018 and certainly wouldn't have encompassed the 1980s and the 8-Bit era. In 1992, 8-bit was fading out and giving way to the brighter, faster paced future of the SNES and 16-bit gaming. This was the end of an era for the Megaman series as it would be leaving the 8-bit era in which it was born and had grown up in. Make sense? The last Wily Capsule battle music had an epic feel - 'going out on a high', right at the edge of the world sort of feel - high stakes, THIS WAS IT. [of course, Wily escapes and MM7 kicks off...but that's a different era in my opinion.] We love you MM6.

I agree with everything you said EXCEPT about MM4's music being unmemorable. Think about Pharoah Man, Bright Man, Dive Man and Cossack's stage... maybe it's just me but those are very good tunes from the game. Also are you a furry too?

It's nice to see mm6 getting some love. I dont understand why it seems so disliked? Yeah it's not the most memorable but i feel it's a solid game. I must say i am in complete disagreement on mm4. I find it to be one of the best in the series. The only boss power that didn't really help was Skull Barrier. MM4 had one of the best power sets in the series. Homing missiles, Screen Clear, Chargables etc. 4 also had some damn good aesthetic for the NES. When Rock opens his eyes with his helmet in the opening cutscene, his hair waving when he's riding the train. Hell just Pharaoh Man's stage alone. The blue fire next to the orange underground backdrops, the quicksand animation at the start of the stage. Did you maybe mix up 4 with 5? Cause i feel every complain you made were ones i had about 5.

Good grief, talk about digging up commentary from the grave [or should that be tomb? :D] ​ @VanHalen/StyxFan1992 : I'm going to go half and half with you re MM4's score. Pharoah Man's was one of the exceptions, along with Dust Man and Ring Man, Robomasters wise. However, the Wily final battle music is also a classic exception so I will admit that too. And yes I am, but not really mainstream. ​ @Hayden Dumouchelle : 6 was good, and so were 5 and 3. 4 was abit meh to me, but, everyone's got difference preferences and I'm not going to stop anyone from playing their personal faves :-) @Doc Magnus : MM6 needs more love. I think developers realised the end of the NES era was coming and maybe didn't craft quite as much love into it as the earlier games? The difficulty isn't as hard as the others, which is often a cited factor. MM4 just didn't grip me. I appreciate that it wasn't a complete turd [it wasn't]. Weapons were annoying - Skull Barrier, we agree was lame. But Drill Bomb - you think it's just another, groovier Crash Bomb but don't realise you can detonate it at will midair for perfect explosion impact, say. Bright Man's weapon didn;t do much either apart from on Pharoah Man IIRC? Offense wise, Dust Crusher and Ring Boomerang were good mind you. It has grown on me a little since I made this comment [2 years ago. A LOT can happen] but MM4 still isn't my favourite.

The same sound team the did MMX1 did MM6 At the same time. In fact a lot of MM6 ended up in MMX1 as time was short so they repurposed a lot of the base themes in MMX1. If you really pay attention you'll realize all the MMx1 boss levels are rehashed MM6 levels.
