i usually like to start with burst man, and do freeze man fourth. idk i just struggle with freeze man.

I used different attacks that work the same against certain bosses just as equally effective back then. Slash man and Burst man are both weak to freeze cracker and scorch wheel. Mash in the robot museum is also weak to thunderbolt. Gutsman G is also weak to slash claw. Surprisingly Freezeman is actually susceptible to scorch wheel. You can also start with Burst man with only the mega buster. I like your choices to be honest though as there's no wrong on either side since it's up to the gamer's decision on what to use and start with😃

I always found Burst Man easier to kill with just the Mega Buster than Freeze Man, who I can only beat with the Junk Shield.

Because of the weaknesses I also think Burst > Cloud > Junk > Freeze > Slash > Spring > Shade > Turbo is the official ideal order.

So, you couldn't resist doing the non-NES Mega Man games after all. I'm glad you changed your policy on that. Maybe call yourself the *Video Game encyclopedia* from now on. Oh yes, you failed to listen to my advice regarding this one! Here's a refresher course of what I said on the 4 comment board: 1. *Cloud Man* (even if you use that password that gives you all eight bosses from the get-go, you are still better off fighting the 1st four bosses first anyway. Even without the Freeze Cracker to make the stage easier, Cloud Man still has a fairly easy stage. Plus, he's got a great special weapon, and is the easiest of the eight main bosses) 2. *Junk Man* (Ugh! The return of the Mega Man 4 Rush Jet, and this is the worst version yet as it's much easier to get knocked off of it compared to the others! As always though, there are still a few places where it's useful. Return with Freeze Cracker to get Super Adapter circuit plate) 3. *Freeze Man* (Freeze Man is the hardest of the first four bosses. Only reason someone would go after him first is for Rush Search just to avoid repeating stages. Speaking of Rush Search, Exit Valve is found near the end of this stage using it) 4. *Burst Man* (Junk Shield and 4 Rush Jet makes this somewhat tough stage a bit easier. Freeze Cracker is #2 weakness. Need the "all eight from the get-go" password to use his #1 weakness of the Scorch Wheel. Not worth it) 5. *Slash Man* (Opposite weaknesses from Burst Man. Freeze Cracker #1, Scorch Wheel #2. Speaking of the Scorch Wheel, return here to rescue the WORST incarnation of Beat! His name is BEAT, Inafune, not PIT SAVER, which the latter is poorly done to begin with! And don't give me that "music beat" reference! This is America, not Japan!) 6. *Spring Man* (Auto's bolt is here. Nothing special required to get it) 7. *Shade Man* (shoot that Pumpkin sub-bosses' eyes [not inner core] to take the much easier upper path first time through that I did not know about for a long time back in the 1990's, plus a free Energy Balancer using Rush Search underneath Wily's portrait. Return later taking the lower path after [in this order] {1. Visiting Proto Man in Cloud Man, and {2. Visiting Proto Man in Turbo Man, for an optional boss fight against Proto Man for the Proto Shield. Too bad the Shield sucks) 8. -Peter Perfect and his Turbo Terrific- *Turbo Man* (free Super Adapter upgrade using Rush Search on one of the traffic lights. Otherwise, difficult stage, garbage weapon, difficult boss) And leave it to Inafune to not just bring back the Mega Man 4 Rush Jet, but to combine the Mega Man 6 Rush Jet with the Power Adapter to create the Super Adapter, while making both WORSE at the same time! Mash is weak to Danger Wrap. Hold down, then press attack to drop a mine instead of firing a mine in a bubble when the bosses head is on the ground. Use Super Power Adapter in the second and third Bass fights (no weapons for the intro stage fight against Bass) Guts Man G (more like Guts Man "X") is weak to Slash Claw. Slash the boulders at Guts Man for extra damage. Gamerizer is weak to Wild Coil. HannyaNED2 is weak to Noise Crush and Slash Claw The two phases of Dr. Wily (plus boss rematches) is weak to Thunder Bolt (Wily phase 1), and (charged) Wild Coil & Freeze Cracker (Wily phase 2). Put Burst Man in-between Turbo Man and Cloud Man (from above), and you have the weakness loop. Please read my advice on Mega Man's 8-11 on the 4 comment board.

No I couldn’t resist lol. As for Mega Man 8, I don’t have a ton of experience with the game and plan on using your walk through for the video. Merch and X profiles already go by Retro Encyclopedia. Name change has been in the works for a bit to encompass more systems. Cheers and thanks again

@@NESencyclopedia - Thanks. Trust me on the order loop and weapons to use in 8. The greatest Mega Man game ever made in my opinion. PS - Make sure to play the Saturn version to fight Cut Man and Wood Man. Such a shame that Capcom ALWAYS includes the PS1 version of 8 for their Collection Discs.

@@teejay7578 the only weakness I learned was Slash Claw - I'd be frantically trying to get close to the blocks before he did, and I never learned you could push him back to avoid his dash attack.
