Random bit I just discovered: I was using linetarget to check boss' HP out of curiosity (most of them are just 1000 but the damage they take differs), and even Eclipse only has 1000. Meanwhile, the original Evil Robot from Chapter 8 has *9000* even though he only takes 8 Duo Fists. The irony.

@@DuskusCB I mean, that is quite literally what happened. Chapter 6 is the final chapter of the tournament and all that was included when the game first came out. Every subsequent chapter came after launch.

A few tips for anyone struggling: Keep your fingers on the A and D keys, and dodge only when Eclipse's arm stops glowing. After the first few bouts, don't try getting any more than 2 hits in per claw strike-any more and you _will_ get hit. When Eclipse does any attack that involves shooting, aim for the upper body and don't stop firing, it should interrupt the attack eventually. For the homing orbs and green Flame Sword clones, back away. Most importantly-be patient! Don't haste and try to stay calm, there's no time limit.

Is there a guide like that, but for Yellow Devil? I've watched people beat him and I got close once but couldn't quite land that last hit. But the most painful part? The cutscenes before every single freaking attempt. I think it comes down to circle strafing. Not sure if it's worth going for the pickups in the corners.

@@AndrewBlechinger It definitely is, Time Slow affects the Yellow Devil, making it so that it doesn't get too close to you, and Elec Beam is still its weakness, dealing more damage than the Mega Buster.

When I try to punch him, he blocks his body, and then changes the hand his is attacking with, making it almost impossible to dodge. And after that he pushes me away. Why is he doing this and how to avoid it?

@@mrbabbles5989 Yeah, after a few bouts he starts blocking and then switching hands. The only thing I can recommend is to keep your eyes peeled, I don't think there's a way to stop him from doing that. For that push thing, it happens when you get hit too many times. I don't know how many exactly, but it's enough hits to drop you from full health to almost dead.

I can imagine when you won a punch out fight against Eclipse by giving him an uppercut the Robot Masters (from Light,Wily,Cossack and King) actually cheered for you in the base since their hopes to survive is all on you. Some might be still concerned this fight wont went down that easy. Also they might actually look and gasps in horror if you get struck down by Eclipse.(some of them might actually started crying)

Given the fact that 8bD is a Doom mod, I'm pretty sure this song is named after Thy Flesh Consumed, the final episode of The Ultimate Doom. The song itself is almost like a representation of the Doom side of the game, being in minor key and twisting the game's main theme into a dour and bleak version of itself (2:33-2:38). For Everlasting Peace proceeds to flip the script by being named after a recurring phrase from the Mega Man franchise and featuring an uplifting major-key reprise of the Evil Robot's theme.

The thing is the wily star is shown to be the size of, if not bigger than, a planet, so Eclipse's size makes no sense. Maybe it could have made as a space battle to more adequately show the size of the wily star, but as it is now, as a plot hole that can be easily overlooked since your too terrified at the sheer existence of this horror to care, it's more than adequate.

Wily Star really isn't THAT big... I mean, you can actually see Mega Man next to it in Rockman World 5's asteroids level. With some very generous estimates about the height of the buildings being all within the neighborhood of the Burj Khalifa, it's still about a kilometer in diameter, which is to say, still enormous by the standards of an artificial structure.
