Mega Man 8 - Wily's Fortress : Stage 4

Well, time for the last stage of the game! Guess what it is! Yup... a capsule room. Are you surprised? You should not be. This one has nothing special about it at all either. There is no intro platforming segment, there is no having another fight with Wily at a different stage, this is just a plain old capsule room stage with a Wily fight. Although I suppose Mega Man 7 basically did the same thing.
The refights are not worth commenting on... but Wily himself is quite a pain this time around. For once his first form is actually quite annoying with somewhat tricky to avoid attacks... especially that spinning wheel of his. Be sure to save Rush Medic for this fight as it is your only E-Tank for this game. The second form is just a capsule fight. I really have nothing more to say about capsule fights by this point, and this one is one of the more annoying ones.

Heh, they knew. They f****ing knew. Also, it's a clever reference to the fact of how fast-moving, heavy objects can break water tanks, of which Aqua Man is essentially a walking version.

Aquaman is fine, so long as he didn't talk. The voice acting killed it. Sheepman is a rather witty reference to the short story "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" that seemed to go over everyone's head.

seems the entire series is a reference to it- most of nature has been annihilated by the time the X-series occurs, you can see it in every level- technology has infested everything. Then the space colony crashed and wiped out virtually all plant and animal life, by the time the zero series happens all life is basically restricted to neo-arcadia outside of the crash site, where feral plants have taken root, sustained by still-functioning machinery meant to keep plants hydrated etc

For Astro Man, if you hit him with homing sniper, he'll drop his balls. Then you have to get close and keep jumping and shooting on at a time and he'll be finished quickly, compared to his long-ass confusing stage.

"The Reaper" indeed XD It's kinda sad when the robot masters are THAT crippled by their weaknesses they pose absolutely no threat whatsoever. Still, I've always loved doing the boss gauntlets in these games for some reason, and I actually find the robot masters' voice overs in this game rather amusing, so I quite enjoy this stage. I agree with you on the Dr. Wily fight. It may not be quite as grueling as Wily's Saucer in MM7, but at least you have E-Tanks in that game!

Actually I did the wily boss with the reverse weaknesses: fully charged shot or flash bomb on the wily machine, and flame sword on the wily capsule. I personally found that to be easier if that helps, it worked for me.

not sure if someone already commented but you can shoot homing sniper while jumping right below astro man so it will target the body not the ball then repeat. just make sure the ball did not drop on you and you can beat astro man really easily

Pink i have a little advice with the homing sniper. What you do when fighting astro is to spam the homing sniper until you hit him once. When he is hit his balls drop. (ehehhe) When that happens jump close to him and fire it right next to him making shure to avoid his dropped balls. continue until dead or balls get too close.

at 3:45 is the moment when you could have most easily got in point blank with astro and just anihilated him. you were near him and his orbs were too far away to save him at that moment

you can buster shoot aqua and deal damage to him while he is recovering from being astro crushed. if you don't shoot him while he is thriving in pain then you def need energy saver. you can buster shoot alot of rms while they are stunned like tengu and clown to speed up their fights too. also ice wave can destroy tornado hold and if tengu is right behind the tornado then he gets frose and you can hurt him good

you can actually hit tengu man twice with the ice wave. first trap him with it as normal then hit him again while he's trapped and it will do major damage.

Yes. Aqua Man requires the energy saver to be completely killed with Astro Crush. I will admit this was a low point of the series but I still think a lot of people overreact its badness. I personally didn't have much of an issue with it. Although to be fair it was my first Mega Man game. Hey, someone has to defend it right?
