These are excellent. I always thought what a shame it was that those games had no music, when the very essence of Mega Man -- Rock Man -- is the music. All the other problems with the game seemed like small imperfections compared to that sin. But here, you've finally given them music, and it's all rad as hell. Like, I can immediately listen to these and feel as addicted as I get to canon new Mega Man soundtracks ie 9 and 10, faster and more easily than so many other fanworks like SFxMM, MM Unlimited, Time Tangent, etc. Something about them just seems 'right'. Excellent job.

9:30 Oil Man seriously took me off-guard, the grooving and then tossing in those skipped notes to break the beat a bit made me suddenly want more of that in Megaman fan themes, even if it's not a thing in official themes. Sonic Chaos is my favorite 8-bit game, I love it so much I'm working on a split disassembly of the game and the song does slightly sound like a strange arrangement of the song, but it's definitely not the same song. Sonic Man's stage is alright, it's not as catchy as Aqua Planet Zone. (And it resembles the Master System a bit, but not much of the Game Gear version. Both have slightly different arrangements.)

Fire or metal themed music should have rough, sudden beats with a fairly fast-paced tempo. Prime example of this is Metal Man's theme OFC, this doesn't mean fire themes have to be fast-paced

he did, but it's only seen in the map pack. what map pack, you ask? there is a little mm fangame called "Mega Man 8-bit Deathmatch", and this guy composed the music for the DOS stages. all maps in the game use two tracks: 1. the normal music 2. a boss theme. so in the map pack, there is a track for the boss battle. it's not included here though.

Pretty much everyone else has been posting their ratings for these songs, so I guess I'll join in and post mine. #1 - Volt Man: This song is my drug. I'm not sure why, but this sounds like pure ear candy to me. I could listen to it all day if I felt like it. 11/10 #2 - Sonic Man: A *VERY* close second for me. This song is relaxing AF; it's my go-to song for when I'm stressed out. 10/10 #3 - Blade Man: This one is so upbeat and catchy! Dare I say, this is even better than the official Blade Man's theme in MM10! 9.5/10 #4 - Bit Man: Almost as awesome as Volt Man's theme. This theme reminds me of Dynamo Man's theme. 9/10 #5 - Wave Man: This song is a _wave_ of goodness. It almost reaches Sonic Man's theme's level of soothingness. 8.75/10 #6 - Torch Man: Another relaxing one. Not quite as relaxing as Sonic Man's, but I like the mysterious tone this one has. 8.5/10 #7 - Oil Man: I like the techno theme of this song, though I feel like it'd be more fitting for a cyberspace-themed Robot Master, or maybe a Wily Stage. 8/10 #8 - Shark Man: I'm not sure why some people think this song is boring or mediocre. Love the compositions here! Sonic Man has that Follin brothers feel (Pictionary, Silver Surfer, Wolverine), Dyna Man's theme sounds like something out of a TMNT game, and overall, they still feel consistent with the BGMs of 1-6 and 9-10, while also feeling inspired by modern superhero film BGMs as well. Like- Volt Man, Blade Man, Shark Man, and Wave Man's BGMs wouldn't feel out of place in a Marvel game.

rankings: 9: torch man: too low intensity, i feel like I'm melting when i listen. also very inconsistent. 8: sonic man: too slow, too chill 7: oil man: very hollow, why does it keep stopping? 6: volt man: not bad, but not great either. 5: shark man: gets very high in some places, but still very jazzy. 4: bit man: nicely emotional, but still kinda fast. 3: wave man: the only purely sad track in the whole group, and it's GREAT. 2: dyna man: fast, epic, emotional when it needs to be, awesome. 1: blade man: transcendent, emotional, epic. very nearly perfect, but could be longer.

My thoughts: Sonic Man: Sounds like a rap or something that would be in VVVVVV or Bit Trip. Dyna Man: Sounds like a Smash Bros. theme. Volt Man: Sounds like a good theme for a place that's supposed to be abandoned or haunted, I also like how you put in the Weapon Get theme from Megaman 3. Blade Man: I don't like it THAT much, but it's good. It sort of has the medieval feel Blademan's music from Megaman 10 has, while also sounding kinda VVVVVV-ish. Shark Man: Sounds cool, watery... and like something from a Battle Network game! I like it! Oil Man: Sounds like a rap-Fitting the Powered Up Oilman's sort of "too cool for school" personality. Wave Man: Sounds like something from one of the Xtreme games. I kinda like it! Torch Man: Sounds too ominous and depressed. NOT a song I would associate with a fire robot master. Bit Man: THIS IS AWESOME! I always connected the "bit" in his name to the components of bytes, and this sounds like a perfect theme for a robot master connected to computer data.

Mega Man I + III 9. Shark Man - The song is nice to listen like listening to an old surfing song at the beach. 8. Bit Man - This song is very jazzy and makes use of the noises "blips" in the whole beginning. Sounds good 7. Oil Man - The song is pretty funky, and I do like all of the quirky sounds in the beginning. 6. Sonic Man - Pretty soothing and catchy, then it kinda gets a little intense towards the middle of the song, it sounds nice. 5. Volt Man - This one mixes many things that make it sounds good the middle part the intro and the instrumentation is spot on. 4. Torch Man - The whole song sounds like a spelunking trip in a deep cave it picks it up on the later part of the song. 3. Wave Man - I Really love this song due to the nice and adventurous melody sounding like a journey through the ocean. The rhythm especially is not to gawk at. 2. Dyna Man - Incredibly catchy and intense, it turns emotional especially at the end. 1. Blade Man - Very catchy and the beginning is the best part of the whole song and the end is also pretty cool.

I honestly think that Megaman 1 and 3 DOS can be remade by a fan while using those musics and if they do i think that DOS Oilman should be remplaced by Powered Up Oilman, DOS Waveman by MM5 Waveman, DOS Blademan by MM10 Blademan and DOS Torchman by MM11 Torchman while the others can either keep their original design or having a new design all together

My favorite one is Bit Man. Blade Man is a close second, then Dyna Man. On a side note, I like what the artist did with the robots to make them more consistent with the "real" ones, like how Dyna Man has Astro Man's eyes.
