This game was such a huge part of my life as a little kid. My parents used to take us to a used game store when I was young and this game was on display for months. My parents always saw how drawn I was to it. Finally when Christmas rolled around, this was under the tree. One of the best gifts I got. So glad you guys are playing it

This is already a great start to this series. What a perfect blast from the past. All three bros are having a great time and the saturday morning cartoon vibe has already created some great bits. Alex/Brett aren't familiar with the game so Jirard can guide them through and they can react to the funny/wacky stuff in this game, including all the secret stuff that Jirard knows about. Fantastic thumbnail too. Looking forward to more of this series.

Legends (and Legends 2) really are some of the best looking games on the PS1. It's like Windwaker where they came up w/ an aesthetic that's never going to expire: it knows the limits of the hardware and it found something that's always going to look like what it's supposed to look like, even when compared against future generations of hardware. You could try to remaster it, but there's only so much you can do while preserving the original aesthetic, and at the end of the day, it's always going to look like how you remember the original game looked.

This game predates Ocarina Of Time. This is pretty much the game that CREATED the 3D Zelda genre. The fact that Ocarina Of Time borrowed SOOOOOO heavily from MegaMan Legends, and now we have Tears Of The Kingdom, but we STILL don't have a MegaMan Legends 3 that borrows heavily from Breath Of The Wild drives me fucking crazy. It's only fair that Legends borrows from BOTW/TOTK after creating the genre. MegaMan Legends 3:Tears Of The Kingdom would be ultra rad. It's one of the coolest possible game ideas. This game is ABSOLUTELY part of the apex of MegaMan. The peak of MegaMan is MegaMan 7, 8, X, X4, X5, Legends, Legends 2, Misadventures Of Tron Bonne. 1993-2000 It fell of starting with MegaMan X6, MegaMan Battle Network, MegaMan Zero (from 2001 owards).

I'll admit, I dismissed Legends way back when since it wasn't a classic Megaman sidescroller, but I've played them in the years since and I did those games a great disservice - they are super charming, and an absolutely valid take on the franchise. It really is a shame there'll never be another sequel, the history behind MML3 is stupid and heartbreaking.

This is one of my all time favorite games. The black megaman they are talking about is part of a morality system the game has. You turn darker or lighter based on your deeds. I think I even remember a defense bonus for being evil. The kick the can thing is just an Easter egg but if you abuse it over and over for money, the game gives you a negative morality hit.
