Ah, Mega Man 9. This is a game I've had trouble with since its release in 2008. In short, I felt the game was too difficult. In the ensuing years the game has been a barometer of my general skill level at Mega Man; as the years have gone by, I have gotten much better at 9 to the point where I can confidently state that it's my second favourite classic Mega Man game behind 4. Having said that, I still don't feel confident doing no damage runs of the other seven levels of 9 quite yet, so here's Galaxy Man, the one level I could do back in the day.
I didn't go into this level expecting a no damage run; I was just playing casually, hence why you see me collecting screws and lives as I go through and why I already had Splash Woman and Concrete Man defeated. If I knew I was going to do a no damage run of this stage, I'd have sped through it.
This level is incredibly simple. The UFOs die in one hit and very few enemies provide a threat, so this, like Gravity Man, was one I felt I could do. The fight with Galaxy Man is tedious without the Concrete Shot, so I apologise for the elongated fight.
This was recorded on my PS4 via the Mega Man Legacy Collection 2. This collection now allows me the opportunity to do Robot Masters from Mega Man 9 and 10. (I'm not at all familiar with 7 and 8; I prefer my classic Mega Man 8-bit.)
