so... techinaly... there are 10 robot masters in this game.

This stage is even harder than Yoku Man's, but not in terms of difficulty, is the accommodations, yes they give you all 9 weapons from main game and the Balancer, but if you exhausted all the lives in this stage at any point you'll get kicked out to the special menu and you can only got 1 tank by collecting its parts along the way.
