Actually really like this, it's a remix of the original theme, but still feels like the same instruments are being used. Definitely has that "Not limited by hardware" feel to it, just better versions of the same instruments.

The observatory was always very interesting to me. You're in this dark and chaotic upside down world with a crazed moon dooming all of its inhabitants. Then you walk inside and the pretty colors and gentle music grant you a moment of respite. You feel safe. But the longer you stay and listen, that feeling of peace and safety begins to fade. The music begins to sound sad, as if it's dreading, pleading, mourning lost hope. Even here, in this sanctuary of sorts, hope is lost. Basically, he's using the snes samples, but hes not limited to 8 channels, and he can add effects. More room for delay channels, chords, more complex drums, and more overlapping melody/solo sections. A great concept, with great execution.
