To those who want Mega Man X9 Capcom Devs have stated if Mega Man 11 sells well they WILL touch at other series within the Mega Man franchise so even if you’re not the biggest fan of the classic series if you want X9 or a possible continuation w Battle Network or something Then buy/hope Mega Man 11 sells well. Also I do believe buying this legacy collection does help. Cus you are sending a message.

SutekiSenpai Yeah... No, if anything after playing Mighty No. 9 I'm grateful that Inafune is gone so Megaman (and possibly Megaman X) can move forward with new ideas. Megaman 11 looks really good and the media has given great previews after playing it. Inafune was not the only person behind the Megaman series and certainly not only one responsible for those games being as good as they were, so hopefully if X Collection and MM 11 sell good enough we can finally get X9.

X7 could have been good but 3D was a big jump. The fans weren't ready and the developers weren't sure how to make him. Then there was Axl, interesting character, horrible voice. It makes Zero from X4 sound good.

It's not literally the japanese names though. Spiral Pegasus for one is called "Spiral Pegacion" in Japan, so it seems like they altered the names to be more in line with the usual english translations that happened in every other game except X5, where we got stuff like "The Skiver".

Mitch Man it actually does though. You just need to import it. Since as far as I can tell there is no region locking in the switch you could very well import the standalone X legacy collection 2. It’s something I’m thinking about doing myself.

Hooray, I am so glad for this Mega Man X Legacy Collection to be coming and so I may have chance to get back into this game series for being a fan. Also I'd love to take on the X Challenge mode as it's a challenge of fighting two Maverick bosses at once. (I have both of those two legacy collections on my wishlist on Nintendo eShop) Damn, that higher ESRB rating despite having same contents as the original games but there's the whitelist feature for the Nintendo Switch parental controls thanks to Nintendo. (Remember when Super Smash Bros. Melee was rated Teen by ESRB which sucked?) It's okay, younger gamers should actually be fine getting this game easily if they are growing up with Mario and Pokemon as they will have interests like that. (They gotta see Mario throwing fireballs and defeating Bowser as well)

I'm hoping that there's the checkpoint system like there is the in the Megaman Legacy Collections; it really makes the game a lot better for me. It gives me the chance to practice difficult sections until I master them without having to worry about game over screens.

I think changing the maverick names in MMX5 back to their original names is for the best. The Guns N Roses names really made no sense especially since the other bosses in the MMX series didn't have names that referenced bands.
