+Rockman X X6 was good, but not great. It lacked the creative level designs of X5(some of X6's levels were downright painstaking), the amazing gameplay and feel of X4(X feels weak, Zero feels stiff) and the story and emotional charge of X5(ex-colleague goes batshit insane after being exposed to the Sigma Virus via Zero's corpse. Yeah, that's unique lol). But, it has personality in spades, hands-down the best music in the X series and some of its best boss fights. Blizzard Wolffang, Ground Scaravich, Commander Yammark, Metal Shark Player(this dude was my top boss of the game), Nightmare Zero, High Max(final) and bonus fights with Dynamo come to mind. The level design was 5/10 at best, story was 4/10. X6 is good, for diehard fans. Casual Megaman fans and action game aficianados who didn't love X4 or X5 can safely skip this one.

My most favorite BGM in megaman X series. And i played this game many times, Zero is my main character here. So mastered this game also and i used only Red Zero withou any attachment, no life up, and no sub tank until the end of the game. I fought sigma without any kind of attachment especially zero's saber. So i've finally reached HU rank.. Which is the highest rank in Megaman X6 . I played the game in 3 hours. This game was so very difficult compared to the other megaman X games.

X6 is a fascinating game. It is one of the “best worst” games out there. It is awful, but uniquely awful while keeping true to the face-paced nature of the X games. Almost nothing works. Some of the nightmare effects, graphics, and bosses are legitimately awful, with many being stupidly frustrating or just plain boring as pushovers. Mistranslations are ridiculous, with “overwrite” in the save menu mistranslated as “overwright”. Every time you save, you’ll see that. And the story makes no sense. Look no further than the “I hid myself while I repaired myself” line from Zero, which is one of the most baffling retcons I’ve ever seen and is a meme at this point. Much of the stage design is atrocious, with only a few exceptions (Nightmare snakes from Blaze Heatnix’s stage anyone?), and the rescue system is laced with good intentions, but marred by the fact that parts, valuable or not, could be lost forever. Zero is broken, but not intentionally, and the Blade Armor is very disappointing. Also…High Max. However, there is merit. First, the music, like this track, are truly highlights in the entire X series, which says a lot. Some of the levels are actually quite good, like this one and the intro. Also, while the game is broken, you can break it in your favor, whether through Zero or by brute forcing your way past hallways cluttered to the extreme with enemies. The fast-paced gameplay is also surprisingly intact, especially given the slowed down slog that was X5. And come on, the bad story elements and horrifically translated dialogue could be stupidly funny, like Dynamo being here (clearly because of budget and time constraints) and to this day is the only Maverick to my knowledge to survive the entirety of the series, and I still have no idea who he is or who he’s working for. X6 is awful, but it’s the good kind of awful. There were some cool ideas and some genuinely good elements, and I still consider it better than X5, X7, and X8.

I love this games soundtrack. It's a shame that my copy is all scratched up and the stage music skips constantly. If I get the scratches buffed out and it still skips, I'll blame my PS1, but the audio on other games plays just fine. (Might try it in my PS3 to confirm that it is the disk.)
