I heard break out in the legacy collection's sound test and thought, you know what, that's a pretty good song. I don't mind that song at all. But then I heard this. And then I understood why the description of the X7 soundtrack (another thing in legacy collection) mentioned it being X7's "much loved" ending song.

Jesus Christ the X6/X7 era was hardcore edge. X8 at least has some substance to it.

x8 is literally just guitar rape and is the most overly "edgy" game of the series with odd as fuck designs. it had some great tracks like jakob, but holy fuck literally 90% of it's tracks consist entirely of guitar + drums. there's only a few tracks like that in x6 and x7. i can even name them all - x6 had moonlight (opening), the answer (also opening) and blaze heatnix. x7 had... this theme. maybe our blood boils (sigma 1st). that's it.

I guess Showtaro Morikubo's X voice, his music, the rest of the soundtrack and the other Japanese voice actors are really the only redeeming aspects of Mega Man X5-X7. Aside from X5, the stories were destroyed by their English translation. The English voice acting in X7 was terrible. It's not the actors' fault, nor is it because they were living in Japan. It was due to poor direction. X sounds like Ewan McGregor with a flat American accent, Zero sounds like Kenshiro from the English dub of New Fist of the North Star, and AXL SOUNDS LIKE CHRIS THORNDYKE! Despite me not hating Chris, that voice doesn't fit Axl. Speaking of which, did you know that Robert Belgrade, the voice of Alucard in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, portrayed the voice of Signas? I'd love to see that guy come back in some way, shape or form. He was the best in X7. Anyways, this song is fantastic. I love Morikubo's voice so much.

X5-X7 are good games and i will forever love X6, though X7 is only good in JP (whoever the person who decided to halve all player damage values and make everything stupidly weak in US X7 is, i hope you will eventually have to platform across watermelons in your life) also X5's story was also pretty hurt, try reading X vs Final Sigma W dialogue and then compare to OG
